Recently I purchased an HP laptop with vista but the office 2007trial version was installed in it instead of full version. Now after entering the key for initiation of office 2007, it shows that the software will expire after 60 days.
My queries are :-
1. Do i need to purchase this software or the HP dealer should provide it to me free of cost.
2. Can office 2002 work instead of office 2007 in vista.
If you need to purchase the 2007 version and just enter the registration key on the CD case, you will not have to do anything with the CD itself.
Ask HP "If I buy this computer does Office 2007 come with a trial version, or full version?" Then you have a salesman's word on the subject. If he says it does not, then you can ask for confirmation with a supervisor. However if it actually is supposed to be the full version then you have a valid complaint.
I believe you CAN use your old Office 2002 (call MS and or HP to confirm) but you will have to uninstall the 2007 version first.
