EXTREME DELAY IN KEY RESPONSE

This keyboard is making me crazy!!!  I am having major problems with the keys sticking and hitting ten "j"s (or any other letter) in a row when I only hit the key once.  Then at other times I click a key ten times and nothing prints out at all.  It is very frustrating; I've already changed the batteries in the keyboard and mouse and clicked the red buttons to make sure everything is a go.  WHAT'S THE PROBLEM HERE? !!!!  My IT guy has no solution.

My keyboard is not responsive unless I hit the keys very hard. Its making me crazy. My "m" key isnt working unless I really continue to hit it hard.

Hitting it hard ( and I can understand your frustration), will not help the keyboard problem.
I think you have a fault in the keyboard connector lead. The best way is to replace the keyboard with a new one or good 2nd hand one ( ebay is a good starting point). You can also prise off the offending key and clean underneath, however, this is a very delicate task.

The other solution ( and I'm going to get flack from the purists for suggesting it), is to remove the keyboard and wash it in warm soapy water, rinse it and let it dry THOROUGHLY" for 24 hours, this gets muck out from under the keys and works well if you spill coffee etc on the keyboard.

Distilled water for the rinse is best

I don't guarantee the above, but if you need to replace the keyboard, you have nothing to lose

I have a question regarding my Saitek x52pro. When I start a flight on FSX my view immediately pans down to the seat of my aircraft and I cant figure out how to get back to looking straight out over the...

There is a conflict within the settings for your 52. Make sure that you change the "look down" key setting in FSX as think the command your stick is sending is conflicting.

My keyboard keys have a delay response. i have to hold the key down for about 1 second before the letter appears. why?

Try going into Control Panel- Keyboard-- adjust character rate and repeat rate. Might fix ya right up..You might also want to replace the batteries....

The @ sign and # sign does not work on this key board and I cannot get to work out how to make it work (I am not on that keyboard at the moment)

http://www.tedmontgomery.com/tutorial/altchrc.html <--- that link should come in very handy for many people who read this, you can work around holding shift then hitting the 3 key for get #, as you can see you hit Num Lock then Alt and 35 on the ten key pad at the right to get the same character, give it a try it's fun and useful. If Num Lock won't work then try Alt + 35 and see if that does the trick.

Cannot type

Go into the Keyboard Properties and check the repeat delay. It may be set to long change it to to short and see if that helps.

Please post response and rate.

I accedently turned on the ten-key in Gateway MT3705 PC Notebook.

Find your num lock key on the keyboard. It is usually a different color which indicates that it has to be pressed in combination with the function or fn key. They FN key is usually located down in a corner. This will turn off the numlock keys and allow your normal keys to be utilized.
