SOURCE: Cannot insert a tape

This just happened to me today, apparently in my case it has something to do with condensation inside the camera, I don't know if this applies to you but at the moment I have the cassette slot open and in the sun, hopefully it will help, two hours apparently should do it. Give it a go, it can't hurt, I wouldn't put the actual cassette in direct sunlight though, so make sure you take that out. Hope this Helps

Canon 330 i wont eject cassette battery is fully charged it makes a whirring noise then stops

What cassette? it is a digital camera, and it contains a battery and a memory card. The card should be come out, after you pressed it once. I hope you did not put in the memory card the wrong way around, because it could damage the contacts in the memory card holder.
Again, try to remove the battery for a few moments and the memory card. Then after inserting both everything should work. If not, contact a Canon certified repair centre. Fist ask what they will charge you for a diagnose. And also check what a new camera will set you back. Then decide if it is worth visiting a repair centre.

Try removing the battery and charging it. Then put the battery back on the camera. This will reset the cassette system. The cassette should open or close depending upon what status it is in. Once you get the camera to eject fully, clean your heads with a dry head cleaner cassette for Hi8 video. If your camera is still eating tape, could be a broken pin or damaged heads.

My camera cassette case wont come out and it says re-insert cassette how do i open it?

Mine does that once in a while, I turn it off, remove the battery, put the battery back in, plug the AC adapter in and turn it back on and sometimes it works. Now if I can get it to load a tape without eating it.

8mm Cassette mechanism fails to eject or sometimes fails to close

This camcorder is at least six years old now, and replacements are available quite cheaply vie on-line auction sites, probably at far less than the cost of repair.

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.

Cannon ZR 60 camcoder Cassette copartment does not open

Loading unit problem is a common mechanical problem in camcorders. To remedy the problem, trained tech need to disassemble the mechanical system around the loading and replace few broken gears (plastics) and adjust it. Repair cost may run close to half of the new camcorder. If you really got to repair this camera for some sentimental reason or for special needs otherwise better to invest the repair charge into a new camcorder.

Cassette am

To unload the videocassette from the cassette compartment, the camcorder needs to be connected to a power source (either an electrical outlet or a charged battery). Please refer to the following instructions. Connect the camcorder to the power source or insert the fully charged battery pack, and then slide the EJECT switch to open the cassette compartment cover. The cassette compartment cover will open, and then the compartment will open automatically.
