The fan shaft is stripped out inside the hub of the fan...this is fairly common and can be tough to fix...some hubs can be "egg"shaped with a large pliers to make them grip the shaft...
Others I have jammed a small piece of metal in to make them grip...
Also have glued some together with a glue like an expoxy cement that will get hard and hold everything together...
Each one I view and do differently depending on what I find and what's available...
