What is the toe panel on a washing machine

A toe panel is also called a kick panel or kick strip or base plate. It's the lower piece on older model washers and dryers, although you don't see it much on newer units because the entire front is one piece and has to be removed as an entire unit.

Help. I have a model # 58717245 portable Kenmore dishwasher. how do I remove kick plate to find out where leak is coming from?

Just remove the 2 screws located on both sides of the toe-kick plate. If it uses the new plastic fasteners, you just turn them 1/4 turn CCW (so the slot is up and down), and then pry them out.

How do I remove bottom grill on refridgerator

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

The bottom grill or toe plate is held on in one of two standard ways.

Some toe plates are held on with two screws, one at each end. If you do not see any screws then the toe plate is held on with clips, one at each end. Pull straight back firmly at each end of the toe plate to remove.

How to install toe stop for dw 5000 pedal?

I believe, the toe stop sits at the very top of the foot board, with the flanged back edge resting in a groove at the top of the footboard. There is a screw that holds a chain to top of the footboard and connects the chain to the footboard. I think you simply replace the factory screw with the longer toe stop bolt and nut. The bottom bit of the chain that connects to the footboard has a small flanged housing. This housing on the chain is designed to hold the nut in place as you screw in the new toe stop plate bold. It is super easy . . . and I think that about sums it up. You just unscrew the chain off the footboard, and replace the toe plate so it fits, and reattach the chain to the footboard with the toe plate bolt and nut.

Your filter is located on the bottom behind the toe-kick plate.

Dryer does not heat and continues to run/will not shut itself off

This is probably due to a faulty heating element, something the average do-it-yourselfer can replace. Disconnect the power supply, then refer to the owner's manual for procedures to remove the front panel from your specific model. If your dryer has a toe-kick plate in front, that's all that needs to be removed.

1)Locate the heating element heat shield, a box on the lower right side of the dryer.
2)Using a screwdriver, pull the two screws at the front of the heat shield. Remove the front of the heat shield or, if it is on a hinge, flip it down.
3)Remove the wire leads from the heating element terminals by pulling on the leads. To avoid damaging the wires, do not grab them when you pull off the leads.
4)Remove the holding screw on the side of the heat shield that connects to the heating element.
5)Remove the heating element by sliding it out of the heat-shield box. Install a new heating element and secure it to the heat shield with the holding screw on the side.
6)Reconnect the wire leads to the new heating element by pushing them onto the terminals. Place the heat shield front cover back into position and secure it with the mounting screws.
7)Replace the front panel or toe-kick plate and reconnect the power supply to the dryer.
