does you ipod work at all?
if it works, you may have songs with a format problem or you could have a bad headphone jack causing you not to hear the song.
can you give a little more detail as to what you experiencing?

My ipod model A1199 doesn't play mp3 songs.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

My ipod nano mini #A1199 has frozen?

Hold menu ( up on the the little circle pad ) and the center button for a couple of seconds until the screen goes blank, then press a button after it goes off to make it come back on. That SHOULD unfreeze it and work as a reset.

Hope this helps!
