SOURCE: I want to change the

You will have to remove all the screws out.But some screws are triangle shaped and for that you will require special tool to loosen that screws.Once the screws are removed. The top cover will get easily lifted.Once you remove all of the screws from the underside of the unit, the hard plastic bottom slid right out. Note that there are more "hidden" screws under the little rubber feet. You'll have to pop the rubber plugs out of their sockets to reveal about 5-6 more screws. The internals of the KM7000 seem pretty basic. There's a length of flexible orange tubing that connects the water reservoir to the heating coil (and the hot plate!), then upwards to the brew-pot. A tiny circuit board connects the LCD display to the rest of the unit. here's how the machine brews coffee. Water from the reservoir flows through the orange tubing into the heating ring, connected to the hot-plate with a little thermal adhesive. From there, the heating element heats the water which forces it upwards through the rest of the orange tubing and into the brew-pot. To see the fig of orange tubing.click on the link below:--- http://mark.koli.ch/2010/03/23/on-the-operating-table.jpg --------- For more detailed help click this link directly:--- http://mark.koli.ch/2010/03/fixing-broken-krups-km7000-coffee-maker-triangle-head-tamper-proof-screws-too.html ---------------- Thanks. You will need to pull the grinder apart & clean it out. Most likely cause of the grinder blocking up is a leak somewhere inside the machine dampening the grounds as they exit the grinder. They bind up, won't fall out and there is your blockage. You will need to find and fix the leak, there are many, many places for the leak to be, it's a job for a Krups Service Agent. I have outer housings with cutouts in them so I can run them and look inside at the same time to find those troublesome leaks.

Krups burr coffee grinder - When I push the power button it flashes on briefly and then stops. It has briefly ground some beans so it working to some extent. Any ideas what is causing the grinder to...

Empty the grinder and see if it will run with no coffee bean in it. Some times debris will get caught in the grinder because it got mixed with the beans from the factory. If it runs your good to go. If not then the mother connection are not solid and it will run off and on at will.

what problem do you have?
If the grinder does not run when turned on, make sure power is on to the outlet, then check the electrical cord.
If the grinder runs intermittently or doesn't stop, the switch may be clogged or damaged. Unplug the grinder and brush any grounds from the switch with a fine brush. Depress the switch several times with a toothpick. If the problem persists, disassemble the grinder to clean it and inspect the switch for breaks that you can fix.
If the grinder does not run, the motor shaft may be frozen. Disassemble the grinder, clean the shaft and lubricate each bearing point with one or two drops of lightweight machine oil. Rotate the shaft to evenly distribute the oil.
coffeegrinder1_1.jpgMost coffee grinders are accessed by removing fasteners on the base of the device. If the grinder still does not operate, the thermal limiter may be burned out. If you can't readily find a replacement thermal limiter, it may be more cost effective to replace the grinder.
If the grinder vibrates, the blade may be bent. Inspect the blade and replace if it is damaged or dull. Another cause of vibration could be a worn motor bearing. Unplug the grinder and remove the access plate. The bearing is bad if the motor shaft moves when pushed back and forth; replace the grinder.

I've had a Krups Burr Coffee Grinder for a couple of weeks, and began to have trouble turning it on the second time I used it. I think the problem relates to the lid not positioning correctly or not being...

The tops of those grinders are made of hard plastic. Check the bottom of the lid for any broken or cracked pieces that could prevent it from engaging the grinder motor. If none are present, it's possible there are grounds stuck inside preventing the motor from turning on. Turn the unit upside down and shake it. You can also use a can of compressed air to blow out the hub. If this doesn't work, you may have a defective machine and you should return it to the store for replacement. Coffee grinder

Mine had a piece of the top/bean lid broken off and lodged in the groove preventing the lid from going down far enough to release the safety switch which is on the right (as you look at the front) in the bottom of the groove. Note that there is another safety switch in the body of the grinder above where the ground coffee comes out that must be working as well.

Does not turn on!

With the top sensor- I found with mine the pin was missing that actuated the top cover switch in th fill area right side you'll see a small pin hole. All I did was remove the side cover and jump out the switch via solder connection. The side cover has (4) click locks on the bottom that hold it on then it slides up and off. I know its a safety switch but it was more of a pain than a help.
