Question about Xerox 7800/DX New

Open Question

7800DX not printing one particular file; error code 389.601.00

I am trying to print an InDesign CS5 file (set up to print tabs) from a Dell Optiplex GX620 that is connected to a server; the 7800/DX is connected to the same server. I have no trouble printing other files (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PDF, Word, Excel). The printer front panel says it is printing this file but nothing comes out and it will show the same status for as long as I let it. The Fault History shows multiple instances of 2 error codes, but the "details" page only shows the print count and the date the error occurred. It provides no actual details. The two error codes are 389.601.00 and 389.603.00. Can someone at least point me to a list of error codes so I will know exactly what is going on?

SOURCE: I can't print full bleed from CS3 to a Phaser 7750DN

You didn't mention paper size, so my apologies if you are using a sheet that will accommodate bleeds and just didn't mention it. This is the simple answer.
If you printing on 8.5 x 11 paper, you can't get a full bleed. You'll need to print on a larger paper size, like tabloid, and trim your 8.5 x 11 size out of that. There are no printers, even commercial offset printers, that can bleed an 8.5 x 11 design on an 8.5 x 11 sheet. There must be trim in order to get the bleed. it 'bleeds' off the edges of the design.

If the printer does not have a hard drive. Pdf will be hard to print.
Second, Are you using a PS driver or PCL? If PCL change to PS.

Here are some direct printing setups also.

To download a PDF file directly to the printer from Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2003:
To download a file to a printer that is connected using an Ethernet (network) cable, use the FTP command or CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). To download a file to the printer that is connected directly to the computer with a USB cable, use the Xerox File Downloader Utility.
To download a file to the printer using the FTP command:
NOTE: To perform this solution, the printer must be connected to a network that utilizes the TCP/IP protocol. The printer must also contain a valid IP address. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional information.

STEVE you have to print it as a tiled image. there is an update on the epson website for this issue. basicly anything over 90" you have to tile as two images split in half with no border in between if that makes sense. they explain it well in the update. when its something 120" x 36" lets say i run the set up at 36 x 60 then go to the page set up and there should be a box for tie image when you preview it again it shows the tiled image put back to back. you also have to tell it toreverse the print. i use adobe cs2 illustrator and it works well.

You did not indicate your version. I will assume you are using CS4.
In you print dialog, there is a transparency Flattener. Adjust it to high resolution.

InDesign Printing problem; service error 49.4c02

This is a solution which has been suggested on another site, this has not been tested by myself so no promises.

1. Turn the printer off.
2. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in slot J1.)
3. Remove all EIO devices from the printer.
4. Turn the printer on.
5. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each device.
6. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error.
7. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.
8. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM.

Hope it helps, as I said, not tested personally.
