Hi Annpotts,

If this problem comes up again, you might want to try this alternative in case eBay doesn't have what you want, or if you want to contact the manufacturer.

For Farberware parts, service or manuals, go to

How can I get the machine to start the bread making process from the beginning. It is currently stuck on knead.

Do you have your owners manual and have you baked bread in your machine before? Just want to be sure that you know the stages that the machine goes through. The first mixing and kneading stage in a tr444 will take up to 15 minutes before it stops on its own. It will then let the dough rest for about 1/2 hour before the 2nd knead begins. It takes almost 4 hours for your machine to go through all the stages before your baked bread is finished.

Bread machine model TR520, mixes the dough, stops for a long time, then starts mixing the dough again continuously without starting the bake cycle. This was on the french program. The machine is new...

By continuously do you mean forever, non-stop kneading? I'm guessing not. French bread is really nothing more than white bread dough kneaded for an extra long time. The extra kneading creates the chewyness common to French breads.

Hope this helps!

My Toastmaster TBR2 bread machine does not knead when started. It makes a tick-tock noise and the timer counts down but no mixing. The bread pan is positioned correctly. Why?

Make sure you are programming your machine correctly.

The Instruction Manual indicates three possible problems, none of which would seem to be your problem. Not plugged in, error message or kneading blade missing.

Suggest you review the Instruction Manual for programming your bread maker. Unplug your machine to reset and then plug in and program as directed.

Need to order kneading blade for toastmaster bread machine TBR 15

Put this item number (310145056299) into an ebay search and it will find it for you. Looks like they are New paddles.

I have a brand new West Bend "just for dinner" bread maker. In the bottom, the two-pronged part which the motor is supposed to turn, doesn't turn. Thus, the kneading spatula doesn't turn. The heating unit...

If the machine is brand new, then take it back for an exchange. If that's not possible, then call West Bend for a replacement. If that's not possible then let's try to solve this problem in a few steps. 1) Take pan out of machine and see if you can spin the paddle on the shaft. If step..if no then bearing in bread pan is stuck. 2) Put bread pan in machine and lock in place. Start a kneading cycle. Look through plastic lid to see if paddle turns. If no step 3. 3) Take pan out of machine and start kneading cycle. If motor shaft does not turn, then the belt fell off the pulley in the machine or belt is broken, or the motor is bad

Bread pan pops out during kneading, hard to remove after baking

I have Breadman Ultimate for over 12 years now. I make bread 2-3 times a week for the past 10 years. I found that the bread pan popping out only happens when the motor shaft and the kneading paddle are not tightly engaged. I find this problem in the following two scenarios: 1. The bread pan was not pushed down all the way as described by cassie_hobbs and tlcquiltnut. 2. Debris filled up the motor-shaft bowl underneath the bread pan to prevent a tight engagement of the motor shaft and the kneading paddle. These debris are generated during the kneading process; part of the ingredients is pushed out of the shallow horizontal pan and accumulated underneath. To avoid the problem, I have to periodically remove debris from the shaft bowl and make sure the pan pushed all the way down. To reduce the debris, I made a simple cover for the bread pan by cutting an old aluminum baking dish. I always remove the cover after the kneading cycle to prevent the rising dough from reaching the bottom of the cover. Hope this helps. Wendy

Kneading blade stays in bread after cooking.

This sometimes happens. I have a Panasonic.

When you place contents in pan with some machines it is important to place contents
in a particular order. I should try to keep contents away from the kneading blade as you place them.
Another thing that might possibly help is to put a litter olive oil around the blade before adding ingredients.

Hope that this helps
