Unit is a 2 channel system. If connected to a 5 channel receiver can it function over the 5 speakers?

Most 5 channel receivers can simulate some kind of surround effect from a 2 channel signal, so the answer is most likely yes.

Press the number 5 key two times quickly. If you pause too long between presses, the TV thinks you mean channel 5 and goes there!!

How do I retune my Samsung Syncmaster 19''LCD TV as channel 5 is not available.

Manually select channel 5 (NOT by pressing "channel-up" while viewing channel 4) and press the 'ADD/DELETE CHANNEL' button.

Or, run through the complete "automatic channel seek" first-time-setup function to "re-discover" all the available channels.

Cannot retune channel 5 on my tevion

You need to find a menu which has initial setup, setup channels or scan for channels in it. Without a manual it's difficult for me to guess where it is. Tevion Technical support is on 0161 975 0458

I don,t where you live & therefore I don't know which transmitter you will be picking but this sounds as if your local transmitter has now stopped transmitting the analogue signal. You maybe aware from a lot of advertising that this form of signal will be getting turned off in different areas around the country so unless you have cable or a digi-box or a digital TV then you will not receive any signal. As you have the Virgin box you will still receive channels 1 to 5 on digital but not on analogue.

I need an owners manual for the receiver

What channels on what satellite? You should always start with sat G1 channel 3 and rehit. This will map in all the channels the receiver is authorized to get from Motorola.Options 6 5 and the trip counter should go up by 5 and show ~ 4600 channels
After that you need to make sure you are good on the arc. Start with G-1 5 (analog) then go east about 20 counts to C3 channel 7 On both G1-5 and C3-7 you may need to adjust the skew to get the picture.
The same is true for digital channels like those on G3C like TNT, CNN, SPIKE etc.
Once you know you are on the satellite then adjust the skew.

First off you should contact a warranty repair shop for your product, second flat belts will only last for a few months then they will stretch until they won't drive the brush roll under load. Belts uauslly are not covered under warranty, consult your owner manual to see if it is. If I knew what model of Hoover you have, maybe I can tell you how to replace it.
