Question about Olympus Stylus 710 Digital Camera
Every time the camero goes on the picture mode I get a blue screen and a message just like this
as a consequence I cannot take pictures etc/////If I turn off the camera I can though view some pictures....if I switch the mode...again error message
Turn on your camera, when the lense is opened, hold it till the blue screen appears, extend the lense to his maximum forcing it a little bit then when you turn off your camera, the noise won't be here. Turn on again your camera and hopes it works. I tried it on my camera, works well at the first try then again the error, i did it twice holding the lense when you turn it on, then it worked perfectly.
Hope it works for you.
P.S : my english isn't well but i hope it helps.

Turn camera on only when the lense is facing upwards. Silly but it works but I do not know why Brian

This is the exact same problem I have too. I re-charged my battery twice and it still doesn't work. I don't know whether I should spend $53 to buy a new battery? Or get a new camera, but not an Olympus.
