Trouble-shooting non-starting

When you perform the key dance of normal heat dry normal heat dry, that is DIAGNOSTIC MODE. The heavy black material is called "mastic" and has come loose from inside the door panel--the door panel must be replaced. I've seen the mastic come loose from heat and fall out of the bottom of the door. It acts like an insulator for sound and heat. It helps keep wires in position, etc. The dishwasher stopping could be from a clogged filter in the main pump, or a clogged drain motor. If the drain action is too slow, the computer will time out and stop. If the main pump is strangled for enough water due to a blocked filter, it will shut down to protect itself.

Amana ptac during heat mode will blow hot air , then blow cold , but will cycle back to heat eventually is this Normal?

if the fan switch is in the Run position and not the auto position you are getting cool are when the heat element is not on. this is kind of like a way to circulate the air. look for an auto setting it then should only come on when needed. Keep in mind it is normal for the fan to start blowing before the heating element is warmed up, this prevents it from over heating, or coming on when the fan is not working

No heat 98 ford f150

verify heat is in normal range using dash gauge. if its normal then good. if it is below normal, you may have a sticking open thermostat not allowing heat to build up enough for "hot" heat. but usually luke warm heat will be this issue.

If everything is fine with gauge heat, check the hoses going to your heater core with your hands. they BOTH should be hot. If one is hot and another is warm then you have heater core issues. If both are HOT then you may want to check your temp controls. either temp control may not be working or the door that changes temp may be stuck in the cold position... there are many things, but checking the heater core hoses are most likely going to reveal bad heater core.

You will need wiring diagrams and volt meter to diagnose anything other than touching hoses and looking at gauge.

No heat from blowerbut temp guage says normal what is wrong?

This can be caused by a bad heater core. The heater core provides heat from the motors coolant system and transfers it to heat. Then the blower motor takes that heat and blows it into the van. Another possibility is that the cold/warm blender doors that direct the air flow can get stuck in one position.

Settings are all correct but heating time to come on hasnt tripped the heating on automatically. I have put in on manually. The numbers on the screen are fainter than normal but there is no battery sign...

I think malfunction because of your remote problem. Try with new battery, if problem still replace new remote.

To get heat properly, To getproper heat, keep your temp setting at 26+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. It it's with RV, check power to RV

Hi, I have a wall mount midea split a/c model- MSG-36HR that will only heat. when put in cool mode it only blow's room temp air and the outdoor unit won't run. On heat mode it works normally. I have cycled...

Most heat pumps are 'fail-safe to heat'. That is: the normal position of the valve which reverses the function is in the position which provides heat. The reversing valve must be powered to switch to the cooling position.

Although the lack of valve function could be a mechanically defective reversing valve - it's more likely to be an electrical issue. Start with checking for power at the reversing valve's coil. If it's powered unpower it - you will be able to hear the reversing valve distinctively

Rear heat not blowing on 05 grand Caravan

If you have the heater control up front on the floor or on defrost you should check that the heat is not blowing from under the d/p seats. If you move the heater control to dash you should have it coming out the top vents.

You could be having a coolant problem and need to check that first, If coolant level is normal you might have a thermostat going out. Both will cause your heat not to warm up at normal speed. If you need any thing let me know.
