Can you, please, explain to me what does the word "secorty" mean. Please, I need to have the computer manufacturer name and model number, the information of the symptom (what happens). I have an idea of what happens, but I would like to be told from you. Also, please, check the IBM MB number. It could be a typo, but please double check once more. Most of the time the MB numbers are printed in between the PCI sockets (white ones). Once I get the info. I will be able to make a model in the lab and give you some concrete pointers. Depending on how quickly I get the info., it should not take that long. Thank you for considering our service...

Why did my enter key suddenly no longer function as to enter, when pressed it brings up a toolbar instead of taking to the next line?

your keyboard utilizes keys F1-F10 as re-programmable function keys.to change your current pofile press the razer lycosa logo+functon key(f1-f10) or you can reset your keyboard to factory default settings by pressing the "Razer Logo" button for 15 seconds while the Razer Lycosa is connected to a powered on computer. NB: ALL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS WILL BE LOST WHEN YOU RESET THE RAZER LYCOSA
TO FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS. ALL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS WILL NEED TO BE
RE-ENTERED OR LOADED FROM THE CONTROL PANEL AFTER THE RAZER LYCOSA IS RESET.

Lenovo p580 numlock off

What options have you tried ??

Number Lock on IBM Laptop Computers b> Laptop computers have the advantage being portable and self-contained, but among their drawbacks is a keyboard without a separate number keypad. While for most applications number keypads are unnecessary, they can be useful for data entry. Laptops sometimes provide a number keypad by giving certain keys double duty, allowing them to enter numbers rather than letters when a "Number Lock" setting is turned on. Number Lock, however, can get turned on accidentally, or enabled by an operating system by default, which can really mess up your typing. If typing "M" ends up displaying a "0" on your screen, Number Lock is probably the problem.

Try to locate the function key. On a T-series ThinkPad, it's in the lower left hand corner. It should be labeled "Fn," and the lettering may be blue, green or red instead of white. If your laptop lacks a "Fn" key, use the "Shift" key for Step 3 below instead. Locate the key labeled with "NmLk". On a T-series ThinkPad it shares a key with "ScrLk" which sits on the very top row between the "PrtSc" and "Pause" keys. On other IBM laptops, the "NmLk" key might share a key with "Delete." While holding down the "Fn" key or the "Shift" key, depending on your model, press the "NmLk" key. This should turn off Number Lock and restore your keyboard to its usual state. Number Lock on an IBM laptop is a "toggle" setting. You can turn Number Lock on by following the same steps.
also Examine your keyboard to ensure your "Number Lock" key is not activated. This activation is indicated by the key being lit up. If the key is activated, press it to deactivate the lock. The number lock key will deactivate an entire segment of your keyboard

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor. In the registry, open the below folders.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Control Panel\
Keyboard\
Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.

0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.
1 = Disable Num Lock.
2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

My problem is that f1 broblem

Are you sure that it isn't your keyboard that is malfunctioning, maybe it has an F-Lock key. Most wireless boards have it to prevent you from accidently preesing F1 all the time. If your keyboard has an F-Lock key press it to diactivate it then F1 should work again.

IBM 300 GL desk top

IBM computers use the F1 key. It is critical that the keystroke is captured at the right moment in the boot sequence. Otherwise it is ignored. Start tapping the key repeatedly as soon as you turn the system on. Shortly after the memory check and mouse initialization is complete, you should get a BIOS setup menu. If you're still having problems, you might try a different keyboard since it is always possible to have a defect there.

My system is not going to bios set up iam getting a error message 177 system keyboard locked (my system model no is 6842-s2j ibm net vista desktop)

Okay, Do you have an ESD Bracelet? They are about Ten Dollars. You need to reset BIOS by removing the C-MOS (Complementry Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) battery and keeping it out for thirty seconds. Replace it and BIOS will be reset, and so will of the BIOS settings. If you need more detailed instructions please tell me!

*WARNING*
If you open your computer unsafely you can short the drive causing permanent data loss or system damage!!

Entering BIOS settings, Easy-Access, after POP, with external KB

The Power On Password problem is near impossible to crack. It is designed to prevent unauthorized access to the Thinkpad and removing the BIOS battery will not remove the password because the password is stored on an EEPROM chip.
There are no backdoor passwords available, the only option is to ask the person who set the password.
OR
There is a way to hack into the Thinkpad to see and remove the password but it requires electronic skills, a program and a working computer.
For details on how to do this go to :-
