F you switched monitors already, your graphics card is probably the problem. I would suggest to temporarily switch this graphics card with another one. Maybe you can do that yousef, or know someone who can. Do nt try this without knowing what you're doing, it could damage your graphics card.
If you have done this, or are unable too, please post here what happened.

If the results you get with the other graphics card are:
1. You do get signal, but it is very low resolution. This is what is supposed to happen. It means you do get a good signal, the video drivers for that card just aren't installed yet. I'm afraid your graphics card is broken, and that you're going to need a new one.
2. You still don't get signal. This could be two things. Either your VGA cable is broken, or your motherboard is broken. I would suggest trying another ble. If that still doesn't work, you will have to purchase another motherboard.

I hope this helps,
Yannick.

My hp pavilion dv6-2117ax laptop won't power up (no power light on where adaptor meets laptop). Replaced power adaptor / charger and laptop powered up and operated for a day and then next day woul

The laptop probably isn't charging. Could be a bad d/c connector on the laptop or the battery is bad. Remove the battery and plug in the a/c adapter and see if it powers on. Wiggle the a/c plug in gently while pressing the power button on the laptop. It powers on and off briefly then I'd say it's the d/c jack on the laptop, bad sodder joint.

Hp pavilion a1330n fan runs, nothing else happens

A lot of HP Pavilion laptops suffered from improperly installed VGA chips on the motherboard which did not have properly thermal control. Overtime the chip will partially or entirely lose contact from the motherboard and you will experience this symptom.

This started with early 2007ish Pavilion DV2000, 6000, and 9000 series laptops, but has been an ongoing issue in several models since. A repair is possible, but NOT by baking your motherboard or using a thermal heatgun.

You need to take it to a lab with an infrared REFLOW machine to properly REFLOW the solder from the VGA chip to the motherboard. Going rates are from $75 to $150 flat for the job.

Good luck

Computer has power will not start up

The power-supply must output several different voltages to meet the needs of several components.

First, try a different power-supply.

Second, look at the capacitors (those tall cylinders on the motherboard, with the X cut into their silver-coloured tops). If any of them are domed, i.e., not flat, or there is anything similar to "brown-rust" on top of any capacitor, your motherboard has failed, and needs to be replaced.

Hp nc6220 power trouble

Simply put there can one of several causes. Test the power output at the tip of the charger, weak or failing chargers may not deliver the specified voltage to properly power or charge the laptop sufficiently to continue operation. The DC jack may be worn out and not accepting the proper voltage from the charger. A very hot charger may be an indication of power distribution issues. The biggie may be that the motherboard has failed and is not accepting the signal to keep things running and is ordering a complete unit shutdown before the boot process begins.

Hp a1712n shut it down and will not turn back on nothing happens when you hit the switch

Either your power switch is not working properly, your motherboard is not sending the proper signal to the power supply, or your power supply is not coming on when it receives the signal from the motherboard. Most likely is failing power supply, but test your switch with a multi-meter, then test the signal coming to the power supply. You will have to look up the pin-out on your model, can't tell from the documents whether it is a 20 pin or 24 pin power supply connector to the motherboard.

Motherboard makes several loud beeps when turned on

Is the memory the right type? It sounds like the board isn't sensing any memory. HP do often use boards that have particular memory dedicated to them. Should be DDR RAM pc3200 (unbuffered, and you can have up to 2048mb Ram Max. (2 Slots)
