Ipod froze

A white screen on an iPod Touch is the sign of a generic error, meaning you won't get a specific error message. Usually when this happens the white screen won't change and the iPod is frozen on that screen. Apple Support outlines a specific series of steps to take to deal with this problem, from turning the iPod Touch off to completely reinstalling the operating system if necessary.

What the White Screen Means The white screen is a sign that a software error has occurred in the iPod Touch. Unless you received an error message first, it's usually something near the root level of the iPod's operating system that caused the iPod to cease functioning normally. Rather than shut off completely, it goes to this white screen to let you know there's been an error. Unfortunately you usually lose unsaved information when this occurs. b> Resetting b> Try turning the iPod Touch off, then on again. This is the simplest way to reset your iPod Touch. If it remains stuck on the white screen, force a reset by holding down the Sleep button (top right corner) for about 10 seconds. The screen will go dark, then the Apple logo will appear. If it turns off and doesn't turn on again, the battery may be too low. b> Restore b> If a manual reset doesn't work and the screen remains stuck on a white screen, you'll need to restore the iPod to reinstall its operating system. Plug your iPod, via its charger cable, into your computer. Open iTunes and click on your iPod, then the "Restore" button on the main screen. b> Problematic Apps b> If you consistently receive a white screen while using a particular app, the app may be faulty or installed incorrectly. Try re-syncing the app to your iPod Touch and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you may need to delete the app to avoid the white screen problem.

How to delete pictures from your used iPod touch

The iPod touch has a camera that can take pictures and record videos. When you make a video or a photo, the item goes to pictures stored on your iPod app for later viewing or sharing. If you use an iPod Touch, you can take photos on your iPod Touch from the previous owner. These images take up space in memory of the iPod, so you may want to remove them to make room for your own photos and video.

1. Tap on the "Photos" icon on the home page of your iPod touch and tap "Camera Roll" in "Albums".

2. Touch the square icon with an arrow to the right, at the top right of the "Camera Roll" page. Tap each photo or video that you want to delete. Each item, then select a red circle with a white tick.

3. Touch the red "Delete" button at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Delete Selected Items" to confirm the selected items to delete.
My ipod won't turn on

Has the battery died and when did you notice this happen? Unfortunately you aren't able to remove the battery from the ipod touch and so your best bet if it does not charge is to check your warranty to see what it covers. You may also try to have it repaired by Apple through their website.

Try to reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPod touch until it is fully charged.

If this doesn't work, try restoring the iPod from within itunes.

White screen

Hi, Try resetting it first, take off the cover and completely remove your battery. Wait for like a minute or so, then put the cover back and battery. Power it up and it should be okay again. If this model has an actual button labeled RESET I would push it also(I don't believe these have them). I would think the battery is good since it is pretty new.

Battery will not charge .

Dear Sir, thank you for your reply re my battery problem. I found on the net a way to remove the back cover from my ipod using a plastic set square. I check the voltage on the battery with my volt meter and found it read 3.7v and 2.2v between the red/black black
white. still the pod would not work .As I was looking at this ,my computer came up with a
window showing the itunes site , I think the window asked me to choose it as the prefaired site etc I'm not sure on the precice proceedure that I followed, but the Ipod screen lit up and all seemed normal, The down side is that I lost all my music that I had
loaded on to the Ipod, Is it possible to reactivate the lost info , or must I download from
scratch, this is the second time this has happened. I would like to thank you for your
interest and I hope to avail of your service another time. thank you.
Peter.
