When you open up the monitor, there will be a main board on the bottom. Look at the solder joints and see if you can spot any that have hairline cracks in them. You may have to look at the different solder joints with a magnifying glass to spot them cause they might be hard to see.

When you find them, take the solder off by placing your solder wick on the solder joint and then put your soldering iron on top so it heats up the solder and it melts into the solder wick. After you do this then put fresh solder on the solder joint.

Do this with all solder points that you find cracks in them.

This should take care of the problem.

PANDIGITAL Digital Photo Frame works perfectly except the SCREEN Flickers Black after a few moments

Annemarie, I had a similar problem with an off-brand photo frame from Wal-Mart last year, although in my case the frame would shut down entirely after it had flickered a few times. In my case, I was able to remove the back of the frame's case by removing 4 screws (two were hidden underneath model number stickers) and inspecting the device's innards... what I found was that, as you surmised, there was a loose connection from the female end of the DC-in power supply. The ground connection to the device's circuit board had been poorly soldered, leaving the connection itself loose and a small piece of solder on top of the board and very near the positive connection.
While not being the best solderer in the world, with the aid of a magnifying glass, a solder removal tool, and a ColdHeat soldering wand, I was able to heat the offending piece of solder and remove it from the circuit board and then, as I was personally uncertain of my ability to re-solder the connection without melting the board, I simply held the connection in place and applied a dab of hot glue to keep it there. After the glue cooled, I reassembled the case and the frame worked for almost another year before something else finally burned out and it was left cold and dark.
Hope this helps, good luck!

I have a RCA L32HD31YX12 TV. The TV works fine for a half hour and then the screen flickers and goes black. The sound continues. If I turn the set off for a half hour, it works again for another half

You have answered your own question, someone needs to open it and find a loose plug or broken solder connection--if it reacts to being tapped on that is the issue- a physical problem inside.

My lcd screen continuously flickering..... what should i do....to correct it..

Welcome to Fixya

Sound like you are having LCD problem already. If you experience the flickering from the time you turn on the computer where you see the lenovo opening screen then this is an LCD problem alerady. It is either the LCD connector going to the motherboard is loose or the LCD has gone bad. You may contact our Lenovo tech support at 1-877-453-6686 option 2 for repair.

The screen suddenly turned white and would flicker on and off and give a disarray of colors. I've tried to pull out the battery several times to reboot it but the problem still persists.

TheLCD connector is loose. That's why it flickers and gives a disarray of colors. Note: Use a T5 torx screwdriver.
  1. On the upper right corner of the board ,you can see a ribbon cable that connects the LCD and the engineboard. Lift the ribbon cable and disconnect it. dcf838f.jpg
  2. Clean the terminals using a soft-bristle toothbrush and lacquer thinner or alcohol.
  3. Let it dry completely using a blower or hair dryer.
  4. Reconnect the cable and reassemble the phone.
  5. Insert the SIM card and battery.
  6. Turn on the phone.
  7. There should be a display. Otherwise you have to have it checked by a qualified technician.

DLP TV starts to loose picture after 1 - 1/2 hours of use

This tv has a 3 board video path. Analog main pcb --->Digital main pcb --->DMD pcb. see which inputs have the problem to narrow it down. if only some inputs, suspect analog board. if everything flickers(all inputs and menu), suspect the dmd or engine. you can see the lamp shine out the back. if the lamp is flickering, suspect lamp or ballast.

Screen will flicker for 3 to 4 hours then come in clear

Wait, let me guess: up until now, it would flicker for a few minutes, which you could tolerate, but now it's gone to far, am I right? Rhetorical question, you don't need to answer. I have this exact model myself, and had this problem. It's the main capacitors. Several, if not all 21, are shot, and need to be replaced. Any good shop should be able to replace them all for under $400 if you can't do it yourself.
