My 12 year old AEG OKO LAVAMAT is making a grinding sound when it fills. It's fine at all other times. I've tried cleaning out the filter, and running it empty.

This is usually caused by the recycling pump running empty whilst the washing is still soaking up the initial fill water. as the water begins to soak the clothes it then starts to pass through the drum into the pump and the whole thing quietens down. running empty will not work. to test this theory try opening the drawer very slightly and filling it manually with a hose before starting the machine, (ONLY TO THE NORMAL LEVEL) and see if the noise is still as bad.

Not starting after being washed. Initial start on choke ran, then stopped after choke closed. Did this three times. Also have oil dripping out after this from start of exhaust.

Did you get water down the exhaust pipe???
Take the spark plug out, clean it and put it back in.The oil coming out the pipe may be soot and water mixed together.Try this and see how you go

Water won't fill

it's syphoning caused by the drain hose in the stand pipe (wall) too far.
pull the drain hose out and stick in 6 inches only and secure to one of the fill hoses so it does not go back down too far. This will solve your problem

Toilet Bowl Water Level Slowly Drops

Check the fill tube in your toilet one easy way to see if it's leaking is get food coloring and pour in your tank to color the water this makes it easier to see and squeeze the tube in the tank when it's full if you see the colored water running down the middle of it you have a winner! if not you can look around for it sometimes the plastic under the flapper gets cracked too

Broken impeller part ?

Keep in mind that the head rate for this pump has been calculated at about 3 1//2 ft high. If you try to go to the garage roof you will exceed the head rate and extremly so if the garage is not on top of the pool and cause your motor to overheat due to it trying to pump the heavy water past its capacity
It would initially work but burn up sooner than later
you woul be better off building a solar type box with plexi glass and wrapping x amount of feet of smaller diameter black hose.
You will need to t down ( on the inlet and outlet ) your pool hose to the smaller one so that the water will slow down inside the box to accumulate the suns rays At no time should you exceed the height restriction

Will not hold water during initial cycle

The drain hose needs to be lifted above the high fill level in washer. The easiest way to fix this is take the drain hose (if your drain hose starts from the bottom of machine and goes up)tie or strap it to the back of the washer so it cant sag or drop down and start syphoning the water.Remember the washer will drain out the water if the drain hose is lower than the amount of water in the tub.Thats why your making sure by tieing the drain hose to the highest point before it makes it way to the drain .
