What is the best way to lay down the clear coat over my finish coat on the fender I just painted but ruined when I shot the clear coat?

Refer to the paint manufacturer's data sheet to ensure the new gun has the right setup for clearcoat.

Could be the new gun was supplied setup for spraying a high solids primer or something that needs something like a 0.7 mm fluid tip. Clearcoat would need a 0.4 mm tip, an appropriate needle and a different air cap.

Data sheets are very valuable things. Don't forget to pick one up when you buy spray paint. A viscosity cup is another useful addition to the tool kit along with a graduated paint stirring stick.

What is a potatoe peeler?

A peeler (potato peeler or vegetable peeler) is a kitchen tool consisting of a slotted metal blade attached to a handle that is used to remove the outer skin or peel of certain vegetables, often potatoes and carrots, and fruits such as apples, pears, etc. A paring knife may also be used to peel vegetables. A peeler differs from a knife in that the blade has a slot cut into it, which is sharpened on the inside edge, while the other side prevents the blade from cutting too far into the vegetable.

Yikes, sounds like you had a bad paint job! I would try goof off the waterbased orange gel first.

Sounds like you may need to take a bit of the peeling paint to your local paint store and get them to match it. A chip at least the size of a quarter will help them. Then fill the chipped area's with Crack Shot filler and touch up.

New to spray painting and am spraying baked enamel paint

To fix this problem you need to turn up the pressure both at the wall(coming from the air compressor) and at the gun. I would suggest 10 more psi at the wall and 5 at the guns but you can play areound to find whats best for you.
