Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Computer won't boot Windows Vista. Screen goes black with cursor arrow.

In this case you have to do the PC restore . you can do that in dell machines by shutting down the machine and when it is coming back on just HOLD DOWN THE CTRL ket and the START HITTING f11 key in this case you will lose the data which you have the on the c drive but this issue will get resolved .

Else you can try to restart in the safe mode with networking and then go to the system restore and then select the bold dates in which you have idea you system was working fine . selct the date and then do the system restore . In this case you will not lose the data but you will lose the updates which you have done after that date .

in both the cases system will work .

SOURCE: toshiba satellite wont boot up windows just black

While your laptop is trying to start up, press the F8 key several times. This should give you several start up options. Select start in safe mode.

This will load a stripped down version of windows. Click on Start - all programmes - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore (This for XP, Vista and Win7 slightly different) and select a restore point priort to when the problem started.

Automatic on toshiba p755

Not sure what system you are talking about. If you are saying that your Toshiba is automatically powering on then you may have a feature called wake on LAN enabled. Press the key at power on to go into your setup menu, look for the wake on LAN (sometimes called magic packet) feature under power control and disable it.

My Towhiba Satellite p755-s5120 laptop will not boot after I installed a BIOS update.

Big mistake. You NEVER upgrade bios unless it is absolutely necessary. It is basically a dangerous procedure because very often the upgrade does not take or work properly and you are left with a paper weight.
You have learned this lesson the hard way and now you have to deal with it.
Your cmos is corrupted - if you can go back to the original bios, great. If not, go shopping! (Of course, you can always get a new mo bo but with the cost of parts and labor, it will not be cost effective.) And stay away from HP - their service sucks big time since they will only provide assistance during warranty period. After that they refer you to forums or advise you to get another computer - an HP of course!

My toshiba satellite p755 keeps shutting down

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

You cannot add more RAM that the recommended max. specified by the manufacture.
If you could install more than it 8Gb, either the laptop won't work OR it cannot access more than 8Gb of RAM.
