Password retrieval. Cannot remember the password and I need to hook up a new Mac computer to my wireless network with my Cisco Valet M10 router but do not want to disrupt my current hardware. Thanks

it has a reset switch at back u have to reset router back to factory settings
use the manual for more details and password
then after resetting the router you have to again configure its setting as your needs

Once you reset the router your configuration will be lost and you will have to re configure it

This is probably what is going on with your setup but without more information I could not be 100% sure.
