A disk read error occurred

Click "Start" and "My Computer." Navigate to the "C" drive on your system and select the folder marked "i386." Find your "Winnt32.exe file and double-click it.

Press the "Enter" button.

Click "Launch Setup" when the Windows Setup page appears. When you click this choice and not the "Boot Legacy operating system" selection, you will not receive the "disk error" message any longer.
Adhere to the directions on your screen to finish the process of reinstallation.

hope this helps

Hello,

Try to make a repair from the dvd of the windows you are using.
You just have to boot from the dvd player at the start of the computer.
Normaly there is write on the first main screen "press F2 to go setup" "press F12 to launch boot option" so you just have to look which button you have to press for the boot option and restart the computer to press the right button (maybe is F8 by you i don't have no idea)
Then you wait for the dvd to boot, and choose repair.

NTLDR is missing is displayed when i turn on the computer

The "NTLDR is missing", error displays very shortly after the computer is first started; after the Power On Self Test (POST) is complete. Windows XP might only initially load when the NTLDR error message appears. Causes of this error message include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors, an outdated BIOS, and damaged or loose IDE cables.

Used bootcamp and tryed to install windows and got disc error ,now wont go back to normal statas. how do i fix?

Insert the Mac OS disk in the drive and reboot while holding down the C key. This will launch your computer in Mac OS and then you can access Disk Utility from the startup window.
Rebuild/ repair as needed, then I suggest removing any partition that you may have set up and re partition your drive for the windows stuff. Give yourself ample room on the harddrive for your windows software and files.
Be sure to print out a copy of the instructions for bootcamp before you launch... also be sure to allow it to automatically set up your mac for windows. Do this:
1.set up a partition according to the directions for bootcamp
2. install windows as per bootcamp instructions
3. after it's launched in windows, insert the Mac OS disk and it will launch all the setup for your mac hardware to run windows... modem, wifi, all that mojive that you usually need to spend hours in PC land ..mac will set it up for you.. Also download a copy of Bonjour from the Apple site. this will set up your printers for use in windows very easily and quickly..
The main thing is follow the directions and let the computer do all the setup...

Vmware mac Mac OS X 10.4

Yeah!  I got that a lot!  If you use virtual desktops sometimes it launches or is already launched, but on some other desktop that's not in focus.
It turns out things just don't seem to be launching from the graphical interface; however, if you go into utilities and can get 'console' to launch you can see an error console that drops hints of why things aren't going smoothly.

Usually some resource limit (which you can change to fix things) is being exceeded...virtual memory in use, for example.  Sometimes you just don't have the kind of CPU or videocard or Dock setup the program requires.

You should be sure check out the Missing Manual by David Pogue, and run an antivirus scan sometime, too.  Salud!
