I'd use a mat or doily or something on the arms where the elbows and hands rest. Over a long time it will go shiny and matted wherever skin rests continually. Apart from that good velour lasts very well.

Which one is your favourite wool fabric?

There are many wool fabrics are available in the market but for me, I like to wear merino wool fabrics and this is my favorite fabric in wool. In this, you will get less pilling and shrinkage because of its fine fibers.
The main quality of this fabric is it will keep you warm when it is cold and it will keep you cool when it is hot. If you want to try something new you should try this only.

INK STAIN FABRIC REMOVAL NO PROBLEM

This is a quick and easy way to save you a lot of time and money if you have ever had a dissasterous ink spill on a velour type durable fabric, such as what I experienced in a car Dealership years ago, my new car get ready man sat in a brand new vehicle that had velour seats and forgot he had a pen in his back pocket, when he sat down in the cars seat the pen opened up staining the seat and his uniform real bad!!
Here is what I did.....
we got a lot of plain clean white cotton rags, and a couple of aerosol, cans of "Brake Cleaner" any brand that is the cheapest in price, spray the affected area and blot with a clean rag, use this proceedure over and over until you start to see the stain lifting out off the seat fabric, you know hwen you are done as the last blotting will result in a clean white rag and an impeccably cleaned seat fabric, the only thing that is left behind is a smell from the brake cleaner, let the car air out using a fan and all doors/windows open and after the seat drys use a scented spray on the repaired area, that will not restain the seat cushion again.
The smell will be gone after a couple of days and a little venting of the interior. $10.00 of aerosol cans and white rags versus a t least a couple of hundred dollars in an ordered replacement seat cushion, plus labor.
Have Fun!!!

How do i keep my car from shocking me when getting in and out it hurts and very worrisome.plz answer asap.

Do not wear wool to start with.Change the coat or pants fabric you are wearing.Next hold the metal door frame as you slid off the seat which will help keep you grounded.
Dry air and fabrics which create static electricity are a bad combo when exiting a vehicle.

Hi, My Elna 7000 doesn't easily feed medium or thin fabrics. Presser Foot tension lever is position 2 and the Feed Dog is rising normally. Any thoughts please? Does the F Dog wear out in any way?

Generally, the lighter the fabric weight, the heavier the presser foot pressure. Yes, feed dogs do wear with use. Do not run the machine without fabric between the presser foot and the feed dogs--the feed dogs constantly rubbing against the presser foot will quickly wear the feed dog points. Store the machine with the presser foot down with a pad between the presser foot and feed dogs (even a scrap piece of fabric will do). Also, be sure to clean the feed dogs of any gunky build-up. If the feed dog points are worn, it may be worthwhile to have them replaced.

My fabric won't feed

Check that the feed dogs have not been dropped for darning or free motion quilting. If the feed dogs do not rise above the needleplate, they will not pull the fabric through the machine.

Feed dogs do wear (which is why one should always sew with fabric against the feed dogs--never on bare metal).

Something else that happens is that gunk builds up between the teeth of the feed dogs so that they no longer have the grip they need to move the fabric.

Another thing to check is the presser foot "pressure." A lot of sewing machines have a pressure adjustment that increases or decreases the amount of pressure the presser foot applies to the fabric and feed dogs. (Consult your owners manual.) he pressure can be adjusted according to the type of fabric being sewn.
