Just a thought, but have you looked at the manual lock on the side of the SD card. It might be in the locked position.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Nikon D90 flashed CHR and next time using camera LCD was black/grey with stripes and no pics HELP!!!

The CRH error message means that the lock tab on your memory card is in the locked position. The purpose for the lock switch is to allow you to set your SD card so that you cannot accidently erase your valuable pictures. Remove your SD flash memory card from the camera and hold it in your hand with the label toward you and the angled corner to the upper right. Look on the left edge of the card and you will see a very small slider switch. Make sure the switch is in the fully up position then reinsert it in the D90. If the camera is not generating a false error, your camera should work correctly.

I cannot delete a picture as the screen says file protected. How do I remove?

if you cant delete any pictures then your sd card is locked which means you take it out and slide the little movable plastic,
if its one pic then you must unlock it in the properties menu

What does read error mean and how to correct it?And get the pictures it seems to have misplaced.

Rhonda, You should remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into the card reader of the PC and move all pics to the PC. Then insert the card back into the camera and format it with the camera. Then whatever pics you take will be saved to the camera and be read by it too. Now for some reason the camera can not read the card. And if you want to use it then the camera should be able to read it. To do that you must first move the pics to some other place and once the pics are safe then the card can be forgotten.

I uploaded pics from my computer onto my Camera SDPhotosmart M537

If I understand you correctly, you put pics onto the SD card using the computer, then put the card in the camera and now can't see the pics? Is that correct? The camera won't recognize the pics because it uses a different recording system than the computer. Now if you want to take more pictures using that card, you will need to format it in the camera first.

There is write protect error and i can't take pictures

If the camera has an internal memory and that is where the pics are being saved to i need the model number. But in the mean time if you are using an sd card try pulling out the card. Some cards have a slide on them that locks the card so you cant write over pic. What happens is some times handling the cards and inserting them the slide accidentally gets moved. this link is to a picture of the lock.

CARD LOCKED

It means the SD memory card has a little switch on the side that is in the "locked" position. Remove card, move switch, re-install, and you should be good to go.
