Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
Is there anything I can do to connect my Nook HD to the WiFi router (Netgear) or are they just uncompatable?
It depends on the specific authentication or security method used by the router. A lot of newer devices will only use WPA/WPA2 security, a lot of older routers still use WEP security. If that is the case, you may need to log in to your router as administrator and change the security/authentication to WPA/WPA2 and choose a new password if the router supports that security protocol. If it does not you would have to buy a new router to connect the Nook to it.

SOURCE: my nook wont connect to
Go to your router setup page in Internet explorer. 192.168.1.1
If default leave user name blank and password is admin.
Click on Wireless and in the basic wireless setting there is a tab that says
wireless network mode. Set the mode to MIXED, save settings and try to connect.
