The speaker has a low power output

The output of a speaker primarily depends on system design (obviously) However, perhaps you have sourced a replacement or 'upgrade' speaker for an existing system. In that case, perhaps you have an impedance mismatch. If your amplifier is designed to drive, say, an 8 ohm speaker, and you connect a speaker of 16 ohms impedance, then your sound will be softer. On the other hand, you may have connected more than one speaker to one power amplifier output. If you connected in series you add the impedances. If connect in parallel you work out the impedance using this formula:
1/Answer= 1/Speaker A impedance + 1/Speaker B impedance + 1/Speaker C impedance etc. So if you connect three speakers in parallel, each of 8 ohm impedance:
1/Answer=1/8 + 1/8 + 1/8 = 3/8
3X Answer=8
Answer = 8/3 = a little less than 3 ohms.
Reducing the load like this makes the sound louder, but risks distortion or even damage. Check your manual for amplifier tolerances. Cheers, Don.

Hi can you tell me that impedence on JBL TLx4 speakers- i need to know if they are compatible with my denon RCD M37 dab player thanks

hi,
Is it JBL TLX 420 then its impedance is 4OHMS. You cant connect these speakers to denon rcd m 37, because its output impedence is 6 to 16 ohms.
ok

My kenwood headunit is saying protect and i dont know how to reset it and no wires are touching how do i fix this

Hi, this is usually caused by a short in one of the speakers or the speaker wires. Take the connector off the head unit and use an ohmmeter on each pair of speaker wires to check impedance. If impedance is less than 2 ohms on any pair of wires, check the speaker impedance for that pair. If the speaker impedance is low, replace the speaker--otherwise replace the wires. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Speakers

I hope you still have the manual that has the system specs in it. You need to find the impedance of the speakers, and the spec sheet should show it. Any speakers with the same impedance should work. If you can't find it, you may be able to find it online at the manufacturer's website. As a last resort, the audio tech at Best Buy or other audio equipment repair shop may have an impedance meter.

Denon AVR3300 - Resetting activated Protection Circuit

Hi
Remove all speakers cables or wires and check all from behind the Receiver. if there are any loose terminals or any metal object in between the terminals.
though it might be a coincidence that you have a problem in the Receiver.
unplug the power cable from the wall socket and remove all cables.

after you remove the cables plug the power cable in the wall socket and try if you see the protection displayed , the receiver needs service.
Good Luck
Regards

How many speakers you are having and what is the impedance of the speakers, you can connect speakers to amplifier in series/paralel connection without loading the amp.impedance, please let me know the ratings ,so that further assistance could be given.
