Well, the reason causing Rundll Error is probably that when you are surfing on line, some Trojan and malware attack your PC and modify the registry for malicious purpose. Though the anti-virus and anti-spyware can remove those Trojans and malware, they cann't repair the destroyed registry. So, Rundll Error happens! On switching on computer it comes up with RUNDLL Error loading thxr.wgo The specified module could not be found. I don't know what it means - I just keep clicking OK but we are having problems with the...

thxr.wgo was detected as a Trojan. You really need to remove the file. From your explanation it sounds you have already removed it but there are some startup entries which are trying to execute it.

To remove the startup entries you can try running hijackthis ( you can google and download ) uncheck the option which has the the filename "thxr.wgo" I recommend not to go for any other options until you know how to use hijackthis.

Refer the link to understand usage of hijackthis.

When I start up Windows XP I get three error boxes each of them say: Rundll Error Loading C:windowssystem3whnoherd.dll Rundll Error Loading C:windowssystem32cryakfuvzxugjh.dll Rundll Error Loading...

Hi,

Rundll.exe files are systems process directly related to your computer's Windows Registry All Dll files are a part of vast library that contains code and data that is shared by many programs. This helps to produce speed and memory efficiency in your operating system by reusing the same code or file to run many functions by various programs. An error occurs when program aren't allowed to access this code.

Now, if you able to access the XP in safe mode, You could go to :-

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Restore.

Select a restore point and it's all done.

Unless, the only User Fixable option is to Repair the Windows. Put the XP disk in tray and run Repair. Once repaired, it would fix the problem.

Let me know, if needed assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

RUNDLL

It appears that a program has been removed (not uninstalled) from the computer and XP can no longer locate the removed files while references to the files still exist. So, we need to find what is referring to this file. The easiest way would be to download, install and run a registry cleaner such as CCleaner (from www.download.com), but this can also cause more problems than it solves. The other way is to use the msconfig utility to disable all of the extras that are loading and then enable them one by one and rebooting each time until the problem appears again. Then just disable the last one enabled (that caused the problem to reappear), and continue on until all other programs and processes have been reenabled.

When starting my laptop alert window pops up RUNDLL and it says C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\3.bin\M3PLUGIN.DLL specified module could not be found

That is a module used by the popular spyware program mywebsearch. If you've recently run a virus or spyware scan, it was deleted however the startup still remains. To clear this:

Click on start, then run.

In the box type msconfig

In the startups box, uncheck the box that corresponds to the mywebs.

Click okay, then restart. When it restarts, click the box and click ok again. The error should be gone.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate this as fixya.
