SOURCE: can I connect headphones to variable audio out

Although it is a variable out i don't think the audio level would be high enough to get a fair audible signal, here is something youcan try: if you have a small portable radio(like kids use sometimes with the cd/cassette/radio)with external or aux input, you can hook up the variable out from the tv to these inputs on your radio then hookup your headphones to the radio(most port. radios have headphone jacks) but with out an amplifier you will not get a lot of level out of the tv.

SOURCE: my plasma TV has no

The only way to do it (unless you go inside the TV and modify the TV) is to use a small headphone amplifier (or powered PC speaker system with out headphone jack) and connect it to the AUDIO line out (Red and White RCA jacks) on the back of the TV.

SOURCE: When I disconnected my Headphones

Usually there is a nut on the back that hold it in place. If you can solider replace the jack. There are three contacts on the jack, one is ground, one is audio and the other is the speaker. If you know your way around tyou can jump the audio and speaker wire together and sound that way.

No the headphone jack doesn't disable the speakers. There are two switches in the lower middle of the receiver that are labeled speaker A and B. Pushing one of these should disconnect the speakers from the receiver.

Headphone not working

Try the headphones on another computer. Maybe the headphones are broken. If not, make sure you have the volume turned up and not on mute. And make sure you plug the headphone into the Headphone Jack not the Microphone Jack.

Does this model have a headphone jack? If not, is there some way to rig headphones?

most televisions have a headphone jack on the side now if not then you can ge a RCA to 3.5mm stero headphone jack plug from radioshack or almost any other electronics store then plug it into the output on the back of the television. you may need to get headphones that have an amplifier built in for this to work, also if you want the sound off on the tv when using them just turn the volume all the way down because htting the mute button will also mute the output.

I have a LG 19LE3300 television and i whant to be able to connect an Infra red headphone while being able to listen by the speakers at the same time. actually when i connect the hearphone it disconnect...

Hi,
First you need to make a test to adjust your headphones wireless system..
.pls follow the step below:
  • "Connect the headphone base" TO " headphones output of TV" with 3.5mm stereo headphone jack cable (than Tv should mute ) Infra red headphone pilot lamp should flicker in parallel to voice coming from TV
  • Infra red headphone should have a rotary adjustment on it.. "Volume" adjustment
  • while TV talking , when you sit in front of the Infra red headphone (it works point-to-point ) you will hear the voice of TV, than adjust volume properly...Thats it..now lets go to second step..
  • Your headphone's Base should either "3.5mm stereo headphone jack" or "RCA Stereo jacks" or "bot"h..After completion of this test ,I recommend you to switch / use "RCA Audio output plugs-white/Red cable " on the back of TV instead of TV's headphone output ,since it mutes the whole sound..RCA output plugs of TV work independently from the TV's master volume control..of course you need RCA cable to connect this..
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

Adding remote control activated ''mute'' to TV headphone jack

Generally when the head phone jack is inserted the speakers will get disconnected automatically.

If you are going to use external amplifier you can try the AV sockets. Opening the TV you may require the special screw drivers some times.

No sound through the headphones

The way the headphone jack works is:

plug your headphones in and then mute the television using the remote.

While the TV is muted you can still use the volume up and down controls to adjust the volume through the headphones. I find that having the volume at 60-75% is more than loud enough on the headphones.

Just be careful when you unplug the headphones and take the TV off of mute, if your volume levels are still turned up you will be in for a jolt :)
