With a T8 torx driver, remove the screw in the center of the rear panel (do NOT remove the screw just above the HDMI port).
Use the padded handles on a pair of Channel Lock pliers (e.g. needle nose, or lineman's) to hold the back edge of the top bowed up, then slide a 7'' plastic scribe (e.g. I used a Tupperware Citrus Peeler with good results, or a Stanley 66-114 screwdriver should work fine, too) in from the back along one end and pry the free end of the center tab 'in' slightly to unlatch it from the bottom of the case.
Once that tab unlatches, the whole top should pop free, but still needs to hinge up towards the front for the last hook to be undone... just keep standing it up and it should release far enough to slide sideways and unhook before the lid reaches vertical.
