Try this simple test
Turn the thermostat down to room temperature
If it turns off when you reach room temperature it means the thermostat is ok
Now if you place the thermostat back to 82 as you say you must have to leave it there until the warmth returns to the furnace thermostat
So it's either bloody cold were you are or your furnace is undersized

SOURCE: Oven tempature is 35 degrees celcius less than set tempature even after adjusting oven tempature control

if you read your tappan instructions, it will tell you to turn your oven to 550 degrees, then press and hold the bake button for 15 seconds. it will blank out and go to 0. adjust temp up or down accordingly. peace out.

My thermostat is set on 68 degrees and it shows room temperature is 68, but the furnace still kickson, Honeywell said it has a 1 degree difference. so what's the problem then?

Yes there is a one degree tolerance, in fact my heater just kicked on and it is set to 67 and the inside temperature reads 67. It is also a Honeywell.

How to treat my Betta fish ick

  1. The first thing you should do is remove your betta from its current tank. You will want to set up a separate temporary container to house your betta while you clean his regular tank. Be sure to use clean water that has been treated with water conditioner. If a separate tank is not available, you will want to do a full water change on the tank along with a thorough cleaning. Again, be sure to add the appropriate amount of water conditioner before adding your betta back to the tank.
  2. Ick thrives in cold water, so after you have a clean tank setup, you will want to install a tank heater to warm the temperature gradually to 82 degrees. Be sure to use the proper size heater for your tank size. Also, make sure the heater has a cut off switch or something to keep the temperature from going over 82 degrees. You don't want to cook your fish!
  3. Now you are ready to treat the ick. You will need an antiparasitic medication. Try Kordon Rid Ich Plus you can pick it up at most pet stores. If they do not carry it, ask for another antiparasitic appropriate for betta fish. Use according to package directions.
  4. Continue treatment according to directions.
How to keep ick away:

  • Continue using heater to keep water at 82 degrees
  • Do frequent water changes with water conditioner added to clean water
  • Use aquarium salt: it is inexpensive and easy to use. Purchase from pet store and follow package directions for use.

Good luck! I hope your fish gets better!

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed

Install trim and adjust the thermostat on a Grohe shower faucet

Before you install the temperature control knob, adjust the valve body (47111) with a wrench to set the temperature to "100 degree or close to it". Now, place the limit ring to tdc (top dead center) and control knob with the red 100-degree align to it. Your problem may have been the valve's temperature setting is out range when you installing the temperature control knob.

Cannot set heat setting by using "hold" feature

make sure it is not telling you room temp, some of the Honeywells, will display room temp over desired temp. check that, if it wont let you switch temp than buy a new one, if you dont have a heat pump a new cheap stat is around 20.00.
