I need to know how to get into safe mode on a asus essentio desktop

As soon as the screen comes up that tells what kind of computer you are using when you start the computer, keep tapping the F8 key and that will bring you to a menu with choices of safe mode, safe mode with networking, and restore to last known good configuration.

Asus R503u explorer.exe Desktop shows

It sounds like you may have installed some malware or corrupted part of your windows installation.
Reboot your computer, and repeatedly press f8 until a menu shows options like "safe mode ' safe mode with networking ' repair your installation" etc. You'll want to highlight the Repair your installation option and hit enter. Then follow the prompts untill you reach a page with the option "System Restore" and Use the latest backup available.

Safe mode when os missing

Safe mode is booting the computer without the drivers. It works with the OS. Not present when no OS is installed. You must go to the bios setup and ensure usb is in the bootup chain. Hd1, DVD, USB.

My asus netbook had been wet by water... it partially turning on but by matter of minuted just shut offs automatically what sholud i do...

Howdy ,

When you turn your laptop on start taping f8 at the same time. The machine will come to a screen that gives you some different options.Use the the up arrow button And highlight safe mode.Click the enter key.The next screen will give you the option to go into safe mode by choosing yes .Once your in safe mode You need to go to start >control panel >system> advanced system properties (vista& windows 7,advanced tab xp)>start up and recovery>Settings > start up and recovery, and clear automatically restart.Come out of safe mode with start just like you do from your desktop .After your PC shuts down start as usual and preform a system restore .Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. It's pretty straight forward from there, you can reverse any thing you do here .Thank You for choosing FixYa.com

My mini notebook will not boot and tells me it can not locate windows because of a dll error

Try this at the above website..
http://lionpress.wordpress.com/2008/04/26/eeepc-how-to-restore-to-factory-settings/
Or try below...
Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, then replace that faulty DLL, or better still, do a System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.

Unable to load desktop ASUS 1005HA XP SP3

Hi

It seems you are stuck in a windows loading loop

Please do the following

1) Go into safe mode (swith the pc on and keep pressing F8 repeatedly until you have a menu presented to you, from the menu choose safe mode)

2) Once loaded click on Start>Programs>Accessories> System Tools> System restore

And restore your computer back to a point before the update was done

if it still loops when using safe mode through the method shown above then unfortunaltey you will have to reformat the PC

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Screen is empty,blue nothing works...

Try booting up your laptop to safe mode by pressing F8 as soon as you turn on your laptop.

Choose safe mode and see if you can get in there. If you can then choose to restore your system back to the last date it was working properly.

If you can't do anything in safe mode either then that means the operating system is corrupt and you need to restore your computer back to factory defaults either by an internal factory restore on your ASUS or the discs if they came with it.
