Turn console of, hold sync button down wich is the small white button next memory card slots, while holding turn on console and wait till it boots. If this does not work go to system blade, select memory, press y on the HD symbol, press xx left bumper right bumper xx, select yes. This will restart your console from scratch though all profiles and saved data will be lost, but it will clear any corupt data.

Xbox 360 won't turn on and the kids are upset.

Press the power button on the front of the Xbox to turn it on.

As you're doing this look at the power supply to see if the amber light turns green.

If the light does not turn green, you'll need to get a new power supply.

Thier is the red light that is shown instead of green

You have a problem with your hardware. This happens to about 30% of xbox's over time. It is called the red ring of death. You need to reflow the solder under the GPU chip to fix it, find an xbox repair place on ebay.com

Your X clamps need to be tightened They are no longer holding the heat sinks on anymore and your Gpu is over heating.

Xbox fixed itself from 3 lights but other problem

When someone say that his/her Xbox is having 3 red lights problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your Xbox's 3 Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.

Red Ring / System Crashes / Doesn't Start

Hi Kashman, The industry is trying real hard to come up with a solution. Microsoft has extended the wrranty for people like you. Problem is that I hear they just send you a refurbished unit that will do the same thing eventually. Best plan i have heard is to do things to keep the Xbox as cool as possible. Currently I am not sure what to do with the Slow boot up. Keep it in open air area and out of sunlight. It helps to allow a fan to blow on it during play.
