Question about Kenmore Dishwashers

1 Answer

My Kenmore ULTRA WASH dishwasher model #1603* does not respond to any command. When I select a desired washing I only get a blinking light on my selection and nothing else. If I select ''Cancel/Drain'' it blinks as well. I receive no response at all if I select ''Start/Resume''. To stop the blinking I must turn off the circuit breaker. When I restore the power, the control board is not lit, however, selecting any of the wash cycles and the blinking starts once again. The manual refers to a blinking ''cleaning light''; the ''Washing'', ''''Sensing'', ''Drying'', ''Sanitized'' and ''Clean'' indicators do not light or blink.

Kenmore Dishwasher Model 665.16719000 pushpad buttons lights flashing and won't work.

Press "high temp wash, heated dry, High temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash"

All the lights will go solid at which point you press cancel to reset the board.

**NOTE** if you don't have a "heated dry" button, use the "air dry" or "energy saver dry" button instead.

Kenmore Ultra Wash 665 dishwasher: start button not lighing

It sounds like you have a bad control console, and the problem is that your START button (the most critical one!) is bad. You can't replace just that button or key; you have to replace the entire control console.

Normal wash light blinking, d/w wont start

Wish I could solve this, as I'm having the same problem too. Normal light blinks not matter which wash button is pressed. Cancel light will light, but still NOTHING happens. Same model as yours.

there is no real way of checking the keypad. Not with a meter but if you push normal wash for example and it does not respond this usually means that you have a bad keypad

It is likely there are one or more faulty buttons on the control panel. The console will have to be replaced.

Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher LIghts are blinking....

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
