Replacing the lamp module requires special considerations:

  1. Turn off the projector.
  2. Wait 30 minutes for the projector to cool down and then unplug it.
  3. On the bottom of the projector, loosen the two screws on the lamp cover and then remove the cover.
  4. Loosen the two screws on the lamp module and pull out the module.
  5. Insert the new lamp module and tighten the two screws.
  6. Install the cover and tighten the two screws.
  7. Turn on the projector. If the lamp does not turn on after the warm-up period, try reinstalling the lamp again.
  8. Press enter on the projector or on the remote control to open the on-screen menu.
  9. Press the up (c00589410.gif ) or down (c00589411.gif ) arrow to select Setup and then press the right (c00589412.gif ) arrow.
  10. Press the up (c00589410.gif ) or down (c00589411.gif ) arrow to select Reset lamp hours and then press enter .

SOURCE: Dell 1100MP Projector, unit stopped working, I

This is a very common problem with these projectors. The fans lock up and the units are out of warrenty. The fan you replace it with must be the exact same as the old one, even though it is the same as a 5$ computer fan. The processor will detect the non-dell fan and shutdown in the same way.I Havent been able to find any replacement fans that will work. I may be interested in buying your broken projector from you if you give up.

Email me at: nalexandrov251[A-T]gmail.com and we might be abe to work something out.

SOURCE: I have a Dell 1800

The projector can fail to start and the power and temp lights will blink orange. This is a known problem with the Dell 1800MP projectors caused by a failed capacitor in the power supply. You can fix it yourself if you know how to use a soldering iron and have some experience with electronics. There are other posts on the Internet that show or point you to the repair. Search on Dell 1800MP power supply failure. If not willing to attempt the repair, I will repair these projectors for you at a cost of $40 plus actual shipping from me to you. You would pay the shipping cost to me. Considering the effort it takes to repair one of these units, this is a fair price. Dell charges $250 for the repair plus parts. I have repaired numerous of these units with 100% success. My occupation is working as a power supply designer for one of the largest manufacturers of drivers for LED lighting. mooredesigns4u@att.net

Red power, blinking red temp

Hi,

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

  • A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
  • A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.
Goodluck..

Only blowing hot air and red light flashing on panel. Also no noise from the main unit on the balcony which is usually loud when a/c in use

Whenever there is problem in unit, the error code will be displayed. Please check. As per your statement, it's communication error between indoor and out door. Check power in out door unit.If not check your temp setting.
To get proper cool, keep the tips as follows:
1. Check air filter is cleaned. 2. Check indoor coil is cleaned. 3. Checkindoor blower motor is working. 4. Keep in cool mode. 5. Set temp minimum 3degrees less than room temp.6.Check compressor is working . Thanks.

Air con not working. Operation and timer lights flashing, then operation light flashes and then lights go off. Air con is blowing air but the outside unit is not blowing any air.

First check your timer on and off. If you want to reset, remove batteries from remote and power off to unit. Reset it. Now run the unit. Set temp mode once again in your remote and wait for 3 minutes. If still out door unit not working, check power line to out door unit.

Hitachi projector temp light

This is what your projector's user manual says about a flashing "TEMP" light :

"The cooling fan is not operating. Turn the power OFF and wait approximately 20 minutes. After the main unit has cooled down, please make confirmation that no foreign matter has become caught in the fan, etc. After performing any needed maintenance, turn the power ON again; if the same display is displayed, then please contact a sales store or a service company."

Kenmore Dishwasher #15769

Try this solution first
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.
