The cycling of power is not caused by the power supply. Your problem is with the Main PCB assembly (Board with all of your inputs) This board is model specific. Find your model and do a search on ebay..You may find your part there.

I just went throught the same thing. It is the psupply. Have the 3 2200 capacitors replaced on PS. I just took out PS brought it down to a local place and 65 bucks it was fixed!.

Power failures can cause all types of problems, have you firstly checked the fuse in the mains plug? If that is ok then it may have blown an internal fuse in the power supply board, these are there to protect the rest of the circuit from power surges.
