The air is cold and dryer is turning

If it's electric, could be timer or heat level selector switch, a relay to heating element, the heating element itself bad or the overheat thermostatic switch has failed. How old is the dryer? A lightly used replacement may be less than the repair technition and parts.

Red light's on... but no hot water!

HI,

OK, inside the unit there are three items, the heating element, thermostat, and thermal fuse. What has happened is the element got too hot and the thermal fuse opened. There is no reset button. In some cases you may run across a defective heating element or thermostat but its not common. The fix would probably be replacement of the thermostat and thermal fuse. For this, you would have to contact a small appliance repair center in your area.

Goodluck,

How can I fix my Keurig Coffee maker? It pumps water from the time it is turned on 'till it indicates add water. Any suggestions?

either the heating element has failed or a thermal overheat trip device or thermal fuse has failed

you need to use a meter and see if the heating element is getting AC power
perhaps the pump actuator usualy a relay or a triac device has failed and gone short or fused contacts ....

The unit is no longer heating the water. The red light comes on indicating that the unit is heating the water, but only cold water comes out of the faucet. We've tried raising and lowering the...

This will be a thermostat or element problem. The red light tells us that you have power to the unit. If you are handy you can test the thermostat and the element with a continuity tester. A voltmeter may also be used. This will tell you where the fault lies.

2006 tahoe with heated seats. when the seat is

The heating element in the seat may be failing, even thogh it heats the seat, the element could be causing the circut to spike upon power shut down. Relay takes mili-second to shut down after ignition kill and power feed comes direct from battery. Check amp. draw at switch of bad seat and good seat upon shut down. If bad seat higher that 5 amp difference element n/g. Also check for bad relay as they can short internal and cause problems if primary power cut before switch shut down.

I have an isomac millenium which stops working after being warmed up for more than 15 minutes. It would have to cool down completely before I could turn it on and get the green light to turn on again....

HI
There are a few things that will cause this.
Your SSR (solid state relay) is bad. Its on the bottom of the machine inside. If you can see a green light on it , its probably OK.
You could have a thermal fuse on the side of the boiler by the heating element that is bad.
You have checked that your water tank switch is working. Push down on the water tanks to see if your lights come on.
Your heating element is bad.
Your Computer is bad.

Dryer won't run.

First, there is an excellent chance you have some kind of flood damage insurance.  It may pay for part of the repair.  You did not tell us what is not working but I'll guess it is the motor.  On many models, there is a switch on the motor which will not allow the elements to heat unless the motor is powered and running.

Gevalia CM-500 12 cup problem.

Underneath the hot pad that the carafe sits on, there are two thermal fuses that are inside tubes that are clamped to the heating element with spring clamps.

Remove the bottom of the unit (5 screws), unclamp the thermal fuse tubes, slide the tubes to one side and check the each fuse with an ohmmeter. If one of them is open, that's your problem.
