There's a little rubber cover on the back just above the word insignia. use something sharp to pry it off. remove the small phillips head screw. grab the tabs on the sides and pull the back off. the two wires of the battery are connected to a small plug. unplug the battery and then plug back in. this cuts the power and acts as a reset. should solve the freeze problem

Mine insignia is frozen on search for pc help!

I know with the newer models if you hold the power button for about 30 seconds it will hard reset but taking out the battery if the back snaps off, or if it just has one screw (or a black dot covering a screw). The batteries usually either just pop out or have a simple clip holding them in. It should restart fine then.

Or you can call insignia mp3 help at 1-800-699-9218 and see if they have any suggestions.

Removing Insignia 37' TV from Stand

There are 7 screws on the back of the tv - should be a phillips, once you have taken all out pull the tv up. If you figure this out I would be willing to buy the stand off you. I removed mine since moving and thought I did not need and threw it away, now need a stand. Email me at co45lt@gmail.com if you are interested.

Thanks

Screen frozen player will not do anything

Have you tried:
1) pressing and holding the reset button (little hole on the bottom right of the player" for 10 seconds?
2) removing the battery for 10 seconds?
3) connecting it to your PC with the battery removed?
4) connecting it to your PC and pressing the reset button for 10 seconds?

I have the same problem. I got it to reset by removing the internal battery and letting it sit for a day. Unfortunately, when I push the remote buttons too fast it locks up again. It is a pain to remove the cover and pull the battery. I don't understand why the unit takes so long to respond to the remote but in the case of my unit you have to be sure you don't push them too fast or it will lock up. I just sent a email to the company via the link provided here. I am not expecting them to respond but we will see.

I pulled the battrery cover off and removed the battery. Leaved out for a couple of minutes then replaced and reversed the order. Then I turned it back on, and it still stays at the "Profiling media files" box. What should I do?

Insignia Mp3 player frozen

If you hold the power button for 20 seconds it will shut off. I had the similar problem where I unplugged my Insignia NS4V17B frozed on the bluetooth initializing screen. I turned it off then back on and it is now working fine.
