  • chunks03 May 19, 2009

okay, i did all that. Now I cannot see them in my camera. They should be there because when i connect my usb port to my computer it says that there are pictures (18) in camera to import from the camera to my computer however, when i look in my camera there are NO IMAGES. Is the problem now in my camera?

Make sure photo files name must be under DSC00001 to DSC99999
connect your camera to computer, click My Computer, Removable Disk, Folder and copy photo files from computer and paste in that folder. If file name is different, camera will not show it in playback though file is in memory stick.

No need to find transfer or import.
Copy photo file from computer and paste it in camera folder.
right click photo file and select copy, then go to folder and again right click and select paste. This is procedure of copy/ paste in Windows.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa:

THE PICTURES ARE TOO HIGH IN RESOLUTIONS FOR MY REAL ESTATE BROKER FOR THE E-MAIL

That's a rare complaint; it's more often that the pictures don't have enough resolution.

If the pictures have already been taken and transfered to your computer, you can shrink them using just about any photo editing software. On a Windows machine, for example, both Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Live Photo Gallery have the ability to resize pictures for e-mail.

In the future, if you know you're only going to e-mail the pictures, you might wish to consider setting your camera to shoot smaller pictures. You didn't specify the model of your camera, but most compact cameras have an e-mail setting that takes pictures 640x480 or thereabouts. Smaller pictures also download faster to your computer.

Sony cybershot pictures fracture when stored on computer

So you mean that when the photos were transferred to the computer, they were fine and now after few months the images on computer are corrupt .. Right?
If that is the matter then I feel that its not a problem with the camera .. It should be some (strange) problem with the storage device on which you copied the photos to.
May I look at a sample image please?
