My OKI C9650 forgot the admin password. how can I reset it
Hi. I have an OKI C9650. I used to access the admin menu with the login root and password from the last 6 digits of the MAC-address. but suddenly this doesn't work anymore! (although nobody changed it in the meantime). Now I can't access the admin menu with any passwords that I tried. I can enter maintenance mode with six zeros and statistics with four zeros, but I don't know where to reset this admin password. I even did an E E P ROM reset and HDD reset in MM, but this didn't change anything. Help please!

Restart the PC, hold down F8 once you enter the Windows® Boot Menu choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and now type in the following:
net user root /add
net localgroup Administrators root /add
net localgroup Users root /delete
The first command adds a new user called "root", the second command adds
that user to the Administrators group and the third command removes the
user from the Users group which leaves him in the Administrators group.

Please do the following. 1. If you have changed the default password you will have to reset router and the password will be set to the default password. To reset the router to factory default keep the reset button pressed for 15 seconds while the router is powered on the reset button is located on the back of the router inside a small hole which needs to be pressed using some pointed object like a pen or a pin. NOTE** its importaint to note that if you reset the router to factory defaults you will lose all the configuration and you will have to reconfigure the router***
2. if you have not reset/ changed the password ever try using the following user name and password
username password admin admin system admin root root admin System root

For the user name and password (you didnt mention the model #) so for all US ROBOTICS the User names are (unless you changed it) try "root" "Any" "support" "Admin" and Passwords are (unless you changed it) "12345" " Admin" "support" "password". If you did change it and cant remember you can always press the reset button on the back and restore it to the "Out-Of-The-Box" settings.

Hi, The only solution for u to login in to the router is to reset the router.
1.If you forgot your password, you must reset your router. Unfortunately this process will change all your settings back to the factory defaults.
2.To reset the router, locate the reset button (hole) on the rear panel of the unit. With the router powered on, use a paperclip to hold the button down for 10 seconds. Release the button and the router will go through its reboot process.
3.Wait about 30 seconds to access the router.
4The default IP address is 192.168.1.1. When logging in, type in the default User Name “admin,” and the default Password “admin” then click on the OK button to access the web-based manager.
Thanks. I actually found out that it had never been configured - here is the standard factory access info:
All Oki network printing devices support configuration changes via a standard web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. When applying a configuration change to a device the user is prompted for a user name and password. The following details should be entered:
User Name: root
Password: last six digits of the MAC address*
*You can find the MAC address on the network
summary web page or by printing off a menu
from the printer.
