What are glue dots and can I use them for scrapbooking?

Glue dots are ideal for scrapbooking as they are acid free, so won't cause any damage to your photos or paper etc and they are really strong. You can stick all sorts of things into your album without any mess. I love using glue dots when I make my albums as it's just saved me from all that dripping glue.

Where can I buy a scrapbooking cabinet for all my equipment? I have papers, stickers, ribbons etc all over the house and it is such a mess.

Walmart have a cabinet/ desk that can be used for sewing but could also be great for scrapbooking. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sauder-Harbor-View-Craft-and-Sewing-Armoire-Antique-White/2630039

You can buy different size containers to sort all your bits and pieces into and then store them on the shelves and then use the desk to actually work on the scrapbook.

Or if you just want the shelving, taking a look at this Walnut colored unit with lots of small drawers. http://www.chandlercreations.com/site/1406927/product/CRFTKITC-W

Can you use wrapping paper in scrapbooks?

Wrapping paper falls in the same category as wall paper in that it hasn't been specially preserved for long life. You really need to use acid free paper, so if there's a design that you specifically like, you could scan it in and then print it onto the acid free paper.

Do I need Acid Free paper for my scrapbook?

Papers that are not acid free will turn yellow and brittle over time and break-up. Likewise it will affect the things it comes into contact with, which will ruin pictures etc. So it's really recommended to buy acid free products.

Is it possible to print scrapbooking paper for free online? I want to do some scrapbooking with my kids but dont want to spend on paper until I see that they like it.

You can print some wonderful colorful papers on the Activity Village site - http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/scrapbook_paper.htm

It's free, but of course you will be paying for the costs of your color printer which could mount up if you print a lot. It might be cheaper to go to the dollar store and see if they have any cheap craft packages that you can buy.
