Sounds like you have a problem with the motherboard. You might have zapped it with static electricity. Used motherboards are usually available for $130 delivered. Be more careful next time and avoid static electricity.

I would go back and double check all of your connections to make sure everything is connected properly and securely before purchasing a motherboard. That particular model has an AC Adapter Connector that has to be plugged in correctly to supply power to the motherboard. It's worth a try before spending 100+ on a used/new one.

Look under the laptop. There should be button to push to the side(it has a lock picture). After pressing it the hard drive will come out( i dont know if it is a hard drive). After it comes out put it back again. It should help. It worked for me.

SOURCE: when i m connecting ac

Hi Maxinfotech Its a common problem for DELL laptops. Most of the time the cause of this a bad AC Adapter but sometimes a firmware reset for the motherboard is the fix. I recommend you try replacing the AC adapter first than try to reset the firmware which could cause a system malfunction sometimes when not done properly. Thanks for using Fixya

SOURCE: Inspiron 1545-my AC adapter doesn't seem to charge my battery

There are in a variety of causes about this situation. It could be improper use of the power adapter or because the battery is not being cared correctly. Besides, you can troubleshoot below possibilities.

Firstly, check if the AC adapter
is bad or not. Detach the battery from the laptop and turn on the computer with the power plug connected. If the computer does turn on, the power adapter is in good condition and not the cause the problem. If the laptop does not turn on, try using another power adapter to verify if the first one is defective. If the second trial does not work as well, the problem might be the power circuit of the motherboard. Look for a certified computer technician to help you solve the issue.

Secondly, If the notebook battery status is not being displayed correctly though software, it can be considered that the software is causing the problem and not really the battery.

Thirdly, test another known good ac adapter and try updating the bios if possible. check battery health meter for battery life status. Perhaps you need to replace the battery. but this issue is most likely an ac or motherboard issue. try running the 32bit diagnostic test using the drivers and utility disc.
If your laptop charger is malfunction and you plan to be on a budget on a new one, just try the following intocircuit laptop adapter:Intocircuit Dell Inspiron 1525 AC Adapter 65Watt 19.5V 3.34A

Remove main battery and try again, next have the power supply adapter checked, if okay the DC jack in the laptop is a common source of trouble from no power to intermittent operation, at this point the laptop must be dismantled down to the motherboard level to address the problem further.

Dell Inspiron n7010 doesn't charge at all

Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED lightup? If not then -The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty.Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but itrequires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket andrepair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

Sounds like a short to me...you probably missed some liquid as it does not take much...go thru the process again. I know thats not what you wanted to hear...but liquid on those things is a nightmare and you just never know where some of it went. A complete drying is in order...if it was a sticky liquid like soda....even when "dry" it can still short it out. If it was water...double check you got all the water...then let it sit out for a day.

Neptune front load washer stopped due to out of balance load. Now wont start turning, has a humming sound

went through the test program in the installation/service manual, which was taped to the back of the washer. It indicated that the drain .pump was not operating. Checked voltage to pump- OK at 116V. Pump was stalled and getting warm. Dismantled motor from pump housing and found impeller was stalled by a broken toothpick. Reassembled and washer now operating normally.
