That keyboard is not wireless, it is cabled to the computer. If you are looking h=to have your computer connect to the internet using wireless, you need to have a wireless access point connected to a cable modem or DSL, as well as a wireless network card in the computer.

How to turn on the wireless card on Sony pcg11211L

If your computer will not connect to a wireless Internet signal, one of the first things to check is whether your computer's wireless switch is turned on.

Many laptop computers have a switch located on the exterior of the computer that controls its ability to connect to wireless networks.

This switch can be accidentally turned off, preventing users from connecting to the Internet.

Determine if your computer's wireless connectivity has been disabled by viewing the network icon in the lower toolbar on your computer's desktop.

When there is a disruption in your computer's Internet connection, the icon will have a red X through it. For further information, go to the computer's Network and Sharing Center where you can troubleshoot connectivity issues and view available wireless networks.

If the computer isn't recognizing any wireless connections (and you're sure that there are wireless signals in your area), the likely problem is that the wireless switch is turned off.

Locate the wireless switch on your computer.

It may be located on either side of the laptop or along the back or front.
If you aren't sure whether your computer has a wireless switch, check the user guide that came with the unit.

Determine whether the switch is currently in the "On" or "Off" position.
The switch will be clearly labeled.

Push the switch in the direction of the "On" position to ensure that it is turned on.
If the switch was already turned on, see if there is a keyboard combination that will activate your laptop's wireless capability.

The key combination for your laptop will depend on your computer's manufacturer, but will generally involve a combination of the Function, Control or Alt and the F1 to F12 keys.

Check your user manual for your computer's key combination.

I own a belkin n150 router. i've used ti on my laptop and now i bought a another computer and it won't let me access my router. it is asking for a security key. any idea how to access it or find it?

Your wireless card in her laptop needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings eg. the SSID and encryption key
The encryption key (security key) is in your wireless router, without this key the wireless router won't allow the laptop to connect to this wireless router.
The WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the encryption key. Then go to your laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and encryption key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Dear Byteguy Thanks for getting back to me about my wireless connection problem. To clarify, my Brother-in-law had the keyboard disabled by an expert due to a problem, so am unable to use the "Fn" and...

If the keyboard had a problem you may not want to reactivate it. You should be able to find a solution in the keyboards owners manual or on the Belkin website. using the model number you may find they have a copy of the manual on the website. You should also check the frequently asked questions and troubleshooting sections to see if someone else has had this problem or a similar one and has gotten the answer. If all this fails you are going to have to call Belkins technical assistant and give them a clear description of the problem you are having with the keyboard. Also tell the about the situation that caused the original user to stop the use of the keyboard in the first place. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Wireless belkin keyboard

Hi. I have just worked out how to solve this as I had a similar problem. When you change the batteries of a Belkin Wireless Keyboard model F8E332ukBNDL you need to reconnect the keyboard to the wireless receiver that plugs into the USB port. To do this you press the 'Connect' button on the receiver and also press the green LED connect light at the top right of the keyboard - the one that flashes each time you press a key. I'm not sure in what combination you press these but I pressed them both and it worked.
