Remove the controller away from the tv and try the manual buttons on the tv to see if you are now able to control the volume. If you are able to control the tv manually then you definitely have a bad remote controller. I believe that you have a bad remote controller.

TV volume goes to loudest on it's own

It sounds like you may have a stuck micro button (volume button on tv) . You might try to push the up volume button on the tv several time and try to get it unstuck (if in fact that is the problem). Also sometime I have had situtions where the board holding these switches on the inside of the t was broke and had to be soldered and repaired.

If I can be of any more help, please email me at wyoed1@aol.com. "Original Radio Man" Ed

The volume on my tv will not turn down. when i manually try to turn it down, it continues to go to full volume

Take the batteries out of all remotes that could control your T.V.s volume. Try turning it down. Try pushing the up button on T.V. to see if it's stuck. This T.V. doesn't really have a lot of digital controls, so it's probably a mechanical issue.

I have a Vizio VX37L, the volume will turn up by it self and you can turn it down but the volume will go right back up. The volume will also decrease as well on its own. Sometimes it will change channels...

check to see if the buttons on the side are stuck in the down position, kinda hard you have to feel it. Vizio buttons do get stuck. sometimes you have to unscrew the back of the tv and replace it correctly so the buttons are not pushed down. if the buttons are not pushed down you have to buy a button control board. if you were able to unscrew the back, you should be able to see the board where the buttons are, look online for that board, they usually cost less than $30 but you need the right board. once you replace it (make sure power is off when taking back off) replace the back of the tv and you should be set. there is also some kind of spongy material that will get stuck, but if you're experiencing the problem with two different buttons then i suggest they are stuck or the board needs replacement.

Samsung 40 hd tv the vol will not come down from 100 percent . I try to turn the vol down and it will not turn down. what can I do. tks mike

I presume that the volume will not turn down from either the remote control or the volume buttons on the side of the tv. If the volume down button works on the side of the tv then the remote control is suspect to be faulty. If neither remote or tv volume buttons work then check whether the channel buttons work on the tv (not remote). If none of these work then check the input connection from the buttons /infra red reciver to the main pcb. This is a push on cable connector. As a point, also check that the volume up button on the tv is not stuck in, and feels the same as the other buttons when pressed.

Volume buttons stuck inside

hi , first i want to say that the tv is not a game it is hazard set very high voltage inside so if you don't have any experience please dn't try to , but you can do it your self just took outlet off and took case off and try to draw the chasses towards you to behind then look inside to the place of the buttons you will see aplastic tips which will push the volume switches that are soldered on the chasses and with your fingures try to push out the plastic tips to relocate it to the original state it is too easy and the please try to be away from the cable that is fixed to the screen cause high voltage is it, refix chasses and cover and give me high rate insted of £40:) regards
