When the material i want is on screen frequently when iprint the rigt edge of the screen won't print.  there must be a simple solution known to most computer users.  what is it.  a thousand thank yous '... ' '

Try changing the print orientation from "portrait" to "landscape" before you print.

My scanner doesn't communicate with my computer but my printer does

Hi, there are many possibilities why your scanner is undetected by your computer. It can be its logical connection, scanner driver or the scanner itself.

If you have Windows operating system, please check Device Manager. In the Device Manager please check for the following:
1. Any yellow or red X's, question marks or exclamation marks related to the scanner.
2. Under the Category of Imaging Devices - Check for Epson Product name.

If IMAGING DEVICES is listed, test the scanner from PAINT as follows.
If IMAGING DEVICES is not listed then the scanner is not being recognized. Try another USB port or cable until the scanner shows up in the Device Manager. (The scanner must be on and connected in order for the computer to recognize it)
If you see an Imaging Device that points to your Epson Scanner or Unknown Device that has a yellow question mark or exclamation point, you need to update the driver.

Try to scan in Paint to isolate the issue between your computer and scanner.
To scan in Paint, do the following:

2. Click on FILE then select FROM SCANNER OR CAMERA.
4. Scan.

If it does not work, it is possible your Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is not started.

To restart this process please follow the steps listed bellow.

1. Click on Start > Control Panel > Administrative tools
2. Double-click on Services to access the list of available services.
3. In the Services window scroll down to the bottom and double-click on the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service.
4. Select the STOP option.
5. Click the START option to restore the service.
6. Try scanning again into Paint.

If it scans fine, try scanning from the application that you normally use. If you are still unable to scan or receive any error messages, try reinstalling the scanner driver or software.

If you have Macintosh operating system, please check Apple System Profiler if your scanner is properly detected. The reinstall the scanner driver.

If your scanner is still undetected, please contact your scanner manufacturer for any possible driver updates.

How do I get A920 All-in-One to connect?

Hi Doris,
Please make sure the Operating System you are using corresponds with the printer driver.In other words,make sure the driver you're installing is compatible with the Operating System on your PC.
Check out your Operating System's compatible drivers for downloads from this Dell support site.
Make sure you unlock the scanner bed by pushing the scanner lock down.
Check the USB cable connections and make sure its secure.
If problem persists,return the product if still on warrant.

You should run the cd installer that comes with your printer. Part of it was not successfully installed like the scanner driver.

It maybe possible to browse the cd and locate the scanner driver and run it to your system.

Printer mus be connected locally to your computer and not part of the network if you want to access it from your computer.

It may also be easy to access scanner from the scan option of the control panel on the windows operating system.

Hello, i lost my whole info on my printer i have a new computer i need to install the printer do i need to by a new printer?

The quick answer is, no. :) Go to samsung's website here and go across selecting all the info asked (i couldn't do the last part as it also needs the model code which would be on the printer label somewhere) You'll be able to get the driver for your new operating system (ie version of windows) and possibly even software.

Issue 1: Uninstall the Existing Dell™ Printer Drivers
Before reinstalling any printer drivers, it is necessary to remove any printer drivers that were previously installed. Not doing so can cause problems that prevent the computer from communicating with the printer.

To uninstall previous printer drivers:
  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of your Dell printer, click the Start button, point to All Programs, point to Dell™ Printers and then point to the listing of your Dell printer and then click the Uninstall Dell Printer icon.

  3. When the Dell Printer Uninstall confirmation window appears, click Yes. This process may take several minutes to complete. Do not attempt to power off the computer at this time.

  4. When the Dell Printer Uninstallation window appears, click to select the Yes, I want to restart my computer right now (recommended) option, then click OK. (The system automatically shuts down and restarts.)

    After the system restarts, the printer uninstallation process is complete.

Issue 2: Download and Install the Inkjet Printer Drivers

Bought a new computer and cannot download the printer because the disc is scratched. can i do this online

What is the exact model number of your printer (e.g. Lexmark X3470, Lexmark X6675, etc)? What is the operating system of your computer? If Vista or Windows 7, check if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. With these information, I should be able to point you straight to the driver and see if it's compatible with your computer's operating system.

How do i install my hp deskjet 3325 on my computer i dont know what my pc has, xp.2000,95 etc.... help, drivers i tried but still dont know how to install the printer so my kids can print.

First you need to know your OS. Even on the older versions of Windows, the Control Panel should give you your OS version in the System panel. If you have 2000, XP, or a newer OS, you can get the drivers from the following URL:

If you have Windows 95, 98 or ME, HP doesn't have the drivers for those operating systems.

I hope this helps. Since the software must be installed before you attach the USB cord to the computer, you may need to uninstall any drivers that attempted to load on your first attempt. Look in the device manager (in the Control Panel again) for any devices with an exclamation point next to them.

Will not print. Orange exclamation mark/point on - not flashing

You may follow Dell's preventive maintenance on the printer you have, the orange exclamation mark regulatly mean a hault on the printer's operation. The link will show you have to have it cleared and make the printer operational once again.
