Question about Yamaha HTR-5830 Receiver
I have my Yamaha htr 5830 hooked up to my ps3 via optical cable. the sound was fantastic up until about 3 weeks ago. Now it seems as though its having problems fully decoding the dolby. Only the bass comes through and no highs. I tried using the other optical input, tried different channels, i even went as far as reformatting my ps3 and resetting the default sound settings through there. I am at a complete loss, please help! thanks
Try using the customer service help on the www.yamaha.com website with your problem. The service center location telephone number is 1-800-492-6247. Try finding a service center in your area and call them and ask for technical assistance.They have a frequently asked question section, but could find no information on how to use your unit with play station 3. It sounds like a problem with the amplifier bandwidth not giving full operation. You can try to reset you receiver to factory specifications with the help of your owners manual.This might solve your problem. I hope this helps you with your problem.
