I may have your belt in stock. Does your belt have some numbers on the side that look something like this 80S3M497 ? Your code may be different. If there is no code on the side of the belt let me know that. you can reach me at daryl441@msn.com

Westpoint Bread Maker Kneeding hooks not working

Hi,
Most likely needs a new belt... Do an online search for "bread machine parts" (with your model number).... Most bread machine belts wear out after a couple of years even if you didn't use the machine very often because the belts dry out and start fraying and break over time which causes the paddles to stop turning..
We've changed numerous belts on lots of different bread machines and most belts are very reasonably priced and very easy to change... Shop around for prices... I have seen some places charge double.. so make sure you do your homework before ordering a belt...
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Linda

Which setting would work best for Gluten Free bread, ExpressBake 58 mins., or 80 mins!

I do not recommend making gluten free breads using any expressbake program. Use the full length whole wheat program on your bread machine

How to open the bottom of the breadmaker?

For Sunbeam 5891, you need a generic High Torque Synchronous Timing belt that is coded as: S3M537 and 6 MM Wide. It's 537 MM Long with 179 teeth, each set 3MM apart. Google S3M537 (or S3M 537) or consider one of the following:

http://www.newenglandbelting.com/timingbelts/S3M-pitch_TimingBelts.pdf

www.jdv.belts.com (1-800-989-0162); or

http://www.beltfrog.com/part/106006118/Belt-60-S3M-537-Bando

to satisfy this need.

I did the research for a new belt but it turned out that the central hub of the drive gear had not been fully assembled and was coming apart.

These synchronized drive belts have many other applications besides bread machine, like conveyors, photocopiers, printers, and shaping and milling machines. I think the 10 MM wide might fit, but the original was only 6 MM wide. I see that they're also offered in 10, 15 and 20 MM, so look for the 6 MM.

The dougn kneader does not work. can hear the "ka

Your drive belt has probably either broken or come off. Make sure your machine is unplugged and turn it on its side and take the bottom panel off. The belt is in there. If it has snapped or frayed you'll need to replace it. I have a few belts that might fit. I would need you to measure the size though by putting a piece of string around the big wheel and the drive shaft and then tell me the length in inches of that string. I could then check my inventory and see if I have one that size. If I do I could sell you the belt. There are several videos on you tube that show how to put a belt on a bread machine and you could install it yourself.

I need to know how to make a button hole, can't find manual.

Hi there, don't know your machine but you can do a plaiin buttonhole manually.
Set machine up for zigzag stitch, needle to left side, mark out the size you need with pins or marker pen. Start at the top and set for widest zigzag with 0 length for the top bar, cannot give sizes as don't know the button you are using, about 6 stitches, set stitch width to just over half the width of top bar and length to approx 0.5. Stitch down to bottom marker and again set up ffor the wide bar, do the same amount of stitches as the top, finish with needle down at the outside edge, turn work so that you will now stitch down the other side to meet the top bar, not forgetting to adjust stitch length and width again.
Hope this helps

This label shows the accessory belt routing on a Lumina with a 3.1L engine

c17hydro_56.gif

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the drive belt shield.
  3. Fit a 3/8 inch breaker bar or ratchet to the square hole in the tensioner. Lift, or rotate the tensioner off of the drive belt. When the tension on the belt is removed, slide the drive belt from the pulleys.

To install:

  1. Taking care to follow the proper routing of the belt, slip the belt onto the pulleys. As a help, note that the water pump pulley is usually driven from the back (smooth side) of the belt.
  2. Fit a 3/8 -inch breaker bar or ratchet to the square hole in the tensioner. Lift, or rotate the tensioner and, with the belt in place, gently release the tensioner.
  3. Verify that the belt is correctly routed and aligned in the proper grooves of the accessory drive belt pulleys. Inspect the drive belt length scale on the drive belt tensioner for the proper indicated length. If the drive belt length scale does not indicate the proper installed length, the belt may be incorrect, incorrectly installed, worn out or the tensioner may be defective.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Start the vehicle and verify correct operation.

My chefmate breadmaker - The liquid and flour don't get mixed..

Hi,
Even though you hear the paddle moving, the belt may be slipping so the paddle does not rotate at full force. Please check the tension of the belt. You can access the motor, belt, pulley assembly inside the base of the machine. Also, please check to make sure the kneading cycle is run fully. Check the manual to see length of cycle. Good Luck...Hank

Machine frozen

Read this on how I fixed a Regal Kitchen Pro 6725 with an Oster belt. Regal no longer makes or sells parts. My bread machine made all of the right noises, but the mixing blade did not move.....upon investigation, I learned that the drive belt had completely disintegrated. I measured for the length of the belt, found that an Oster belt would be the same size and length, and installed it. It works. I hope this helps you.

Hi, I have the same machine and the belt was in tiny rotten pieces...I wound a piece of yarn around the wheel and drive shaft (lie the machine on a kitchen counter, lid open and hanging down off of the counter, bottoms up, and remove the screws from the teardrop shaped brass colored safety cover, remove the cover and expose the wheel and drive shaft) pull the yarn tight and knot it. Then cut the yarn about an inch from the knot. Measure the yarn when pulled on a little. Mine measured 23.5"....I then googled bread machine belt 23.5" and up came one for an Oster Bread Machine (The one I was repairing was a Regal Kitchen Pro 6725) from totalvac.com located at 2 De Bush Ave Unit A8 Middleton, MA 01949
It was $7.95 for the belt, $6.95 S & H to a VA address, total cost $14.90 so I decided to give it a shot. When it got here, I removed the safety cover, held the machine up and shook as much of the old rotten rubber belt pieces out as I could, and replaced the belt by placing it over the sticky string on the drive shaft and teasing it over the wheel. It is an exact fit. Be sure the ribbed side of the belt is down against the wheel. Screw the cover back on and run it through a dough cycle so that the belt will get coated with the sticky stuff from the sticky string on the drive shaft. Until the belt is coated, it will turn the mixing blade, but it will slip. Hope this helps. Patti

Replacing belt on bread machine

Where did you get the replacement belt ? My brother is looking for a belt for a similar model K6761 which uses the same belt (I think). It is about 24" around and 1/4" wide. It has (3) grooves inside and the backside has many notches. The motor has grooves, it would go on there. Where did you get the replacement belt ? thanks regus_patoff_2000@yahoo.com
