Question about Washing Machines
The machine does not register button presses. I can keep on pressing buttons and eventually get it working, but I have to put teh childlock on otherwise it will see constant button presses mainly from the temperature button. I have taken the PCB out and checked, but cannot see any obvious faults. I've used an air duster on all the button parts, but cannot resolve the problem. I want to replace the PCB, but cant find it as a spare part, I have found the door to an AQXGD169PM for sale, do you know if the PCBs are the same? It is the same button layout.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

could be 2 things 1)try closing the door and banging the machine on the front next to where your door catch goes into the washer if it starts could have a lose wire or be faulty 2)if no1 doesnt work than it will be your mains filter which if blown power doesnt get to your machine if the machine is brand new and has manufacturers warranty then these are covered through the warranty and any tampering will void your warranty though should be covered for no less than a year

This might be Lid cover open protection. There is a small magnet at the edge of the lid cover, housed in some sort of a catch.
If the plastic housing cracked, the magnet might have dropped into the washing drum. To overcome this, place a magnet on the position where the plastic catch will contact the washer when the lid is close.
