Question about HP 1020 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax
I'm having problems opening the printer cartridge door. Is there a release button somewhere?
Here's the manual:
And the fix is to firmly grasp both sides of the front panel at the top. Then pull hard away from the base of the machine. Believe it or not, there are two metal clasps that hold the panel down tightly. Once you pull hard enough for the panel to open it will sound like the damn thing broke. It likely hasn't -- mine didn't. After the panel is open, lift the paper guide panel to expose the ink cartridge. If your machine is plugged in while you're performing your surgery, the ink will move to the right and be exposed enough to remove from the machine.
