SOURCE: I can not get vacuum pressure on my Hayward Sand

The filter is most likely not the issue at all.
When you lose vacuum pressure and see bubbles the problem is usually air getting into the line killing the prime. The most common place that air gets into the line is from the strainer cover on the pump. The clear lid on the front of the pump has an o-ring that after 3 years is probably due for replacement.
With a bad o-ring it's easier for the pump to draw air through the lid then water through 20+ feet of vac hose. Replace the o-ring, make sure it is lubed well with a non petrol based grease.
The only other issue that may cause this is a cracked or seriously warped strainer lid, which should be easy to recognize once it is removed to replace the o-ring.
Once this is done you should be fine.

There is sometimes a build up of debris on the bottom, a quick fix is to run it through a dishwasher.

My aqua bug doesn't move

Check to make sure that you do not have any obstructions in the wheels/gears. Also, make sure that you are getting adequate pressure going into the aquabug. If you have an obstruction or are not getting adequate pressure, this can make these automatic pool cleaners disabled.

No water entering dishwasher. seems to cycle but with now water.

open the dishwasher in the tub on your left bottom you will see a large plastic bubble lift the bubble (float) up and, down vertically, listen for a "click" the float sits above the water fill switch: the float's weight causes a pin on the float to press down on the switch to let water in the float sometimes can get stuck in the up position by debris and, prevent the fill switch from letting in water. When the float is lifted by the water in the tub to a predetermined height the pin comes off the fill switch lever and, turns off the water so that the dishwasher tub does not overflow. check this please.

My aqua bug does not stay on the floor of the pool it comes off of the floor and gets pulled around the pool by the hose and i hav submerged it in water before hooking it up

If the pool cleaner is not staying properly sealed to the floor, it is very possible that it is a problem with the water flow. Make sure that you have adequate flow (clean all of your baskets, filter, and throat of the cleaner). You will also want to make sure the the pool cleaners shoes and wings are not worn or damaged. Replace them if necessary.

Gas coming out of breather tube for rocker arm cover

Did you clean the needle valve/seat ?
Sounds like the float is not closing off the gas flow.
Could also be the float has a hole in it that let gas into the air chamber of the float. Be worth checking.
Pull the float and put it into hot water. If air bubbles come out the float has a hole.

10 year old Craftsman Lawn Tractor won't start

That's really strange. The low-speed fuel adjustment screw may be set way too rich, but that doesn't seem likely. With the air filter off, look at the choke plate if possible as you advance the throttle and see at what point the choke closes. Back it off till the choke opens and then put the filter back on and try to start it at that setting. Another thing that could cause too much fuel is if the adjustment of the carburetor float is off, causing the fuel level to be too high in the carb bowl.

91Mazda 626 dies suddenly after 10 minutes running fine

I had the same, drove me nuts, made sure of fuel and spark(about 10 times),all good.anyway after it stopped looked under bonnet to find petrol coming out of carb,(didn't notice this before because the petrol had evaporated by the time i looked).took carb apart ,cleaned and checked jets, all resonable. Then i looked at the float seemed good but checked by putting into boiling water only to find small bubbles coming out of the float !!!!! thus float not floating right, too much petrol and flooding and then stopping. But let it cool down and everything sorts itself out and your good for another 10 minutes. You can check for air leeks by spraying wd40 around suspected areas and looking for bubbles.am no expert but hope this helps.
In short air leaks bad. Float not floating bad.

Hello l have a suzki gs250 82model leaking fuel from rear of the carby (pilot air screw)+the overflow. have checked the float hight needle and seat seems to be cutting the fuel off ok. bike runs but very...

gas leaking out of the overflow tube is definately a float or float tang problem. if you are sure the tang on the float is adjusted probably, then the float may have a hole in it and it is no longer "floating" to shut off the supply of fuel. i'd remove it and submerge it in gas for a bit and look for air bubbles escaping and also see if it no longer floats after you release it from being submerged. if either happens, then replace the float.

running rich is an improperly adjusted air screw, wrong setting on the jet needle (long needle attached to the carb slide with a circlip), clogged airfilter or wrong jet (main or pilot) size. i'd try to find out the settings for these items and adjust accordingly.

hope you get it all sorted out and get this classic back on the road!
