How to use the key to unlock the spindles to replace toilet paper

HELP I am trying to get the spindles off the Bobrick surface mounted double toilet paper dispensers B-2740. I can't figure out how to use the special key to release the spindles. They did not send directions with the product and I've got empty tissue holders. Thanks

On the B-2740...located at the end of each spindle (roller) there is a small hole where you insert a special key (bobkey) or a bobbie pin and depress the locking mechanism. This will release the spindles.

Chuck keeps falling off spindle

this happens when the surfaces of the tapers both external and internal are damaged or have burrs
use fine emery paper to clean the surfaces
then put the chuck into the spindle taper and using a piece of wood pull the feed handle down rapidly so that the chuck is hit back up into the spindle

Cannot change toilte paper

The B-2740 has a concealed locking mechanism to prevent theft. To release there is a small hole at the end of each spindle where you insert a special key to depress and release the locking mechanism. If you do not have the special key you can use a pin or nail that fits through the small hole.

To order the special key it is part number 822-25 Bobkey - Spindle.

Lots of tenant complaints about tissues breaking off after 2 or 3 sheets. It seems top roll is resting on bottom roll. HELP... We have hundreds of these units. B 2888.

I believe the root of the problem is that the tissue rolls are larger than was expected in the design of the dispenser. Easiest fix is to only load one roll at a time until you can get smaller rolls.

I installed a Moen Sage toilet paper holder. The right cover that attaches to the wall hardware via a small screw is loose and no amount of tightening corrects the problem. What am I doing wrong?

It is likely that the the mounting post on the wall has pulled loose.

You will need to remove the paper holder and inspect themounting posts; loosen the set screws in the base of the posts to do this.

Try tightening the screws holding the mounting posts to the wall. If the screws are unable to hold tight you will need to replace the wall anchors if they have been used.

Remove the mounting posts and the wall anchors and replace with new wall anchor, preferably a toggle anchor designed for sheetrock if possible.

With the wall anchors in place attach the mounting posts and install the paper holder; tightening the set screws in at the base of the posts.

Installation instructions for your product can be found here:

I lost my owner's manual and need to know how to reset the micrometer to zero

This is based on an old Brown & Sharp guide book. 1. Carefully clean the measuring surface by pulling a piece of soft paper between the surfaces while the anvil and spindle are in light contact with it. 2. with the anvil and spindle apart, unlock cap with spanner wrench (supplied with unit), then tighten cap lightly with fingers to bring slight tension between thimble and spindle. 3. Bring anvil and spindle together by turning SPINDLE and set zero line on thimble to coincide with line on barrel. 4. Move spindle away from anvil by turning SPINDLE, NOT by turning thimble. 5. Holding thimble only, tighten cap with fingers. Do Not Touch Frame. Lock cap with wrench, still holding thimble only, and adjustment is complete. NOTE: Check zero setting after adjustment is made. Hope this helps

3/8 Drill Driver, chuck replacement.

hi friend,
Step 1. Determine what kind of replacement drill chuck you want - a keyed chuck or key less chuck. Over the years, key less chucks have been widely used for handheld power tool drills, due to their improving grip torque and convenience.

Step 2. If you prefer replacement key less chucks, then you have to know what type of key less chuck you will need - a single sleeve key less chuck or a double-sleeve chuck. You can simply determine it by checking your current chuck. If your current chuck is a keyed chuck or a double sleeve chuck, then you will need a replacement double-sleeve key less chuck. On the other hand, if your current chuck is a single sleeve chuck, then you should get a replacement single sleeve chuck.

Step 3. Confirm the threaded mount size (spindle size) on the chuck. 3/8"-24 threaded mount for 3/8" capacity drill chucks and 1/2"-20 threaded mount for 1/2" capacity drill chucks, but there are some exceptions where just the opposite may occur. To be safe, always check the threaded mount before you buy replacement drill chucks.

hope this helps u
please rate me.........................
thank u for using fixya

How do i change wheel speed sensor on a 2001 pontiac grand am se

well if it is the front wheel speed sensor it is part of the hub bearing and that hub unit will have to be replaced as one unit.

first raise the vechile and support it with jack stands. remove the wheel that has the bad wheel speed sensor.

then remove the brake caliper and mounting bracket.

remove the brake rotor.

remove the axle nut from axle.

unplug wheel speed sensor wire harness and bracket.

un bolt the three 15mm bolts on the back side of the spindle for the hub bearing unit mounting.

after everything is un bolted you will need to soak the mating surface of the hub to spindle with wd-40.

take a hammer and cold chisel between the mating surface of hub and spindle. work your self around the mating surface of the hub.

depending how corroded it is the sensor part of the hub unit may stay stuck in the spindle and if that happens use hammer and chisel to remove it.

clean the inner surface of the spindle where the hub sits and re install in the reverse procedure.

if you have any more question please ask i will be glad to help. good luck
