I have hooked up an older LG DVD Player with an HDM I cable to a new Vizio TV. I have picture but no sound

HDMI transmits audio using a digital format. Access the menu on the Visio TV and make sure that the HDMI input audio is set to ON or PCM. Also access the menu of your DVD player and make sure the audio output is set for HDMI Audio and PCM as well. These setting should ensure that the audio is passed over HDMI from your DVD to your TV.

How do I get the dvd movies to fill the whole screen. The sides are empty and the picture is squeezed into the middle.

You need to change the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9. This is usually done in the application that is used to view the DVD. Check the menu for video options. (Not the DVD movie menu, the application's menu).

DVD Player doesn't work on DRC6355N VCR/DVD Combo

With most dvd/vcr combo units there is separate wiring. When I use my emerson combo unit I have it wired that I have to be on different inputs on my tv to view a dvd and a vhs. On some units the vcr portion is wired via a regular cable line, while the dvd portion is wired with the yellow, red, and white component cable. Try inserting a dvd and scrolling through your tv inputs until you find the picture or check your wiring to ensure nothing has come loose. If that has no result you could try wiring it differently if possible to eliminate that as a possibility.

Dvd picture

Make sure component cables match colors between Television and DVD player. It should be TV input to DVD output. Try to play at least two DVDs to make sure its not a single DVD that may be having an issue. Also, adjust your television's picture setting to make sure its set to normal. Also access your DVD players menu to make sure the setting are set to normal as well.If it doesn't correct the problem, use a different component input on your television. If problem persists, you may need to contact the DVD player manufacturer to see if its still under warranty and not defective. Good Luck.

Polaroid 0722 Player

On most of the set top DVD players you use the monitor button or the remote control menu button to access the mode that flips the display (invert). The mode is for those who mount the units to the ceiling of a vehicle for rear passengers to view. You might have to have a DVD playing at the time or just loaded in the stop mode to access the feature.
